He could absolutely start for a whole lot of high major programs though so if we’re offering him a sixth man role I’d be pretty surprised if he takes it

Worried about what? We haven't seen him play enough to worry about a loss of production. This portal ordeal is nuts. Nobody is off limits because one high profile transfer into the program could bury a currently rostered player deeper into the bench. We brought in Skyy/Epps and Podz headed to Cali.

I know it's difficult to replicate because you're not going to find a wing like Shannon(honestly even difficult to replace Domask), but I'm a big fan of the big 6'6-6'10 lineup they have been running out this year.

Obviously, takes a uniquely athletic group that can guard 1-5 but that size is just a difficult thing for teams to adjust to.

Agree. But a lot of teams get it done with smaller guards. BTW, I really like Maddux. He’s that guy you hate to see on the other team. He appears to be fearless going to hole and can shoot it. You need guys that can get in the lane and make their defense scramble. If he can defend, I’m sold.

Mayer was not the problem last year. He just hit a terrible shooting slump the last few games. That team would not have won many games without him.

It's good to see someone stick up for Mayer. I don't think he was ever "the problem." He was eccentric, yes, but at the center of the issues, no, in my opinion.

Really like the looks of Hill and Maddox. Both have scorers mentality, like Domask. Don't think I have seen someone shoot left handed and most of his layups are right handed like Hill. Either guy would be great adds for next year!

I am confident no matter what they do, they will make an offense work. Pretty remarkable that without a traditional point guard they put together an offense as good as the one Deron Williams ran with two other all americans on the team.
