Kofi was not the best defensive center. However if we pair him with someone like TSJ, we wouldn’t be so one dimensional at the defensive end. I wouldn’t mind a big center who can defend like Clingan.

Most of the other guys we're talking about are one and dones.

Taking 5 one-and-dones who will all expect major roles in their final season would be a really bad idea, imho. There needs to be more balance and homegrown development than that.

No slight to him, but I like Jake Davis' long term upside more than Jason Jakstys'. That's the way to think about it I think.

I understand we can’t bring in all studs and some guys will be role players/bench guys. If brad is sold on him that’s enough for me, I would just rather we see who else become available. Keyshawn Hall and CJ Jones are multi year guys I like

Happy easter to all of you who celebrate! Going to pick some things up tomorrow, although there is a chance of a Jake Davis commitment today from what I have heard. Regardless, I expect 2-3 transfers out and 5-6 guys to come in, some fourth or fifth years and some multiple eligibility guys.

Staff wants two studs, a primary ball handler, a stretch 4, and a shooter with multiple years (Jake Davis) along with possibly one more guy
staff wanting to upgrade moretti?

I cannot see giving Ty more money until he decides to shoot the damn ball when he is open!! He makes it real easy for teams to defend us when he refuses to look at the basket

Unfortunately, for some players, the portal is a two way street. It’s only fair that the coach can upgrade on a moments notice if the player can up and leave on a moments notice. Due to our success, we will have bigger and better options than when some of these kids were recruited. I think Moretti is a nice player but a 6’5” Moretti would be better. Also, look at the success of Domask, Knecht, and others who teams were able to evaluate against other college aged kids at the mid-major level.

Yes ... This is an important piece of info ... However I have been told it is an absolute non issue ...

I can say this ... Look back at who transferred from Texas Tech right when this event became public and that should give you some more info as to what happened ...

The legal age of consent in the Bahamas is 16 ... The female in question was 17 at the time of this situation and it was consensual according to my sources ...

Also - This occurred in the Bahamas but some allege it had been going on at Tech ... There is a 3 year rule in Texas regarding sexual acts (17 with 20 is okay) ...

All of that to say ... Non issue ... But wanted to provide a little context as to why ...
Oh man, lol. So Isaacs may not exactly be the best teammate then…

Man, a quick Twitter search and Boswell is really taking heat from UA fans. Majority want him to leave or at minimum lose his starting spot next year.
Most say he's a bad fit for the system they run, and that he doesn't like Lloyd much. Understandable as he comes off like a goon to me.

He did say defend Lloyd after the game and said "He means everything to me." Seems like they have a decent relationship at least, but who knows

As I sit here at some bar in Vegas reading through all the comments and still pissed about the way we ended the season, it hit me. It could be the margaritas and bloody Mary, too, but
...
Coleman alluded to it being his last game in an illini uniform, and his dad made a comment on someone's X about going to NBA. Might he be looking at going to a new school?

I'd rather see him end his career as an illini, but he has to do what's best for his life
Omg I want to die thinking about him in another college uniform

He needs another year and scouts are telling him that
What was going on with him that last Wisc game. Just seemed so out of sorts, was it that he already planned to leave? The effort and focus just wasn't where it needed to be.

I asked Sencire in the locker room afterwards: "Do you like your spot here at Illinois? How do you feel about that?" His response: "Yeah, I do. I'm in a great situation."

I respect your knowledge, how is us having Kofi different than UConn having Clingan? Seems like a very good chance the two biggest bigs end up in the championship game.

Wow, we allowed sencire to grow, coach him, train him, redshirt, and leaves Luke that...wow
Has Sencire improved his shooting. Would be difficult to have two players in the lineup who are not shooters. Ty and Sencire.
Why would Dain leave?
