I want that 7 footer from Serbia. Highlights show he's got strong hands, can score from all three levels, and is a good passer out of the post; he recognizes the importance of floor spacing and how to exploit it. Surely Tomi can help get him in that Illini jersey. So open up the checkbook and do whatever it takes. He'll be good as a frosh, backing up Tomi (I assume he'll be back) but it would also be interesting if the two of them were on the floor together from time to time. They both have that drop step and baby hook down low, both are savvy passers, and both can shoot it from distance.

Sorry Kat, I didn't mean to be offensive. I had Googled both players and the stats I saw were pretty poor, so I assumed I must be looking at things wrong..
You have nothing to apologize for. I didn't think the question was offensive, just far too broad to be answered easily by the board.

How would our players line up in terms of NIL payments received this season, top to bottom...recognizing that this is an inexact science?

I am moving DGL more closer than ever to the transferring list after this season especially after last night game. Brad played him 3 pitiful minutes in which Kylan went scoreless, didn't get to the free throw line and played 29 minutes. DGL did not look sick at all in last night game and still couldn't see meaningful minutes in which we needed to drive to the basket to take advantage of being in the bonus.
I thought DGL looked extremely frustrated during the game

Wouldn't it have to be a LeBaron owned by John Voight...
Had I said Constanza's personal ride, absolutely. But I wondered if the Nightrydas' team mascot was KITT.

Obviously just an opinion, but what are your thoughts about that? Myself.....I wouldn't play them another minute and concentrate on those who want to be here. At this point what is/was the worse that could happen, we struggle to even make the tournament? I would rather have the respect of the players who do want to be here.

I mean there’s kids on our team already telling other teams they’re entering the portal … Been telling other teams for months …
Would this land a player in the dog house, or Underwood understand this is just part of how it’s going to be going forward?

Given Ty’s redshirting, I assume he accepts it, but maybe in Ty’s case he’s hoping he can change his mind?

I'll simply ask....who? Not sure what reason there would be to not say? If they are doing it then its simply relaying the truth.

The secrecy of the process makes no sense. From the NIL contract amounts to what players are doing. Not sure how we got to the point that the players get to act in complete secrecy to protect themselves from consequences. If the players are now paid they need to have responsibility. If the NCAA is so neutered that they can't impose contracts then the court of public opinion is all there is left. Whispers and innuendo do nothing but continue to chisel away fan support.

That's true, but I also think it's asking A LOT for a freshman, even a supremely talented and tough one, to be THE GUY on a theoretically title-contending team.

And my current theory is that Brad just does a little better with a more top-heavy team, talent wise, since he seems to usually start to limit rotations as the year goes.

And he especially does better with a proven alpha on the team that can get buckets when the offense bogs down or gets cold. And I just think that having a freshman be that guy as plan A is not what I'm hoping to see in the future.
I don't think it's asking a lot of them, if they are asking to be paid like "THE GUY".
