Tre wanted to stay … Tre would’ve stayed if certain things were done (NOT $$$ related) …

Brad unwilling to make changes … Here we are …

In terms of the ridiculous comment … I agree … See my note below …

Please tell me the "certain things" was Tre asking to remove Tyler. Please tell me, Indy.

At some point you have to pay attention to the yellow/red flags with Underwood.

Morez is the most recent sting, but don’t forget when Tre White didn’t get any minutes.

I’m not saying Brad should be fired, but now you have to go back into the transfer market to likely find a lesser player than Morez, because you decided to play a guy who clearly wasn’t as talented as Morez.

More than ever boosters can elevate or sink a coach if they decide not to pony up NIL money.
90% of the fanbase knew in real time not playing Morez and Tre was a terrible decision.

I know this is the new college landscape of guys coming and going, but on its face Brad seems to be failing at retention of priority players.

Demoting Tyler because a bunch of mid players and Morez wanted more shots is such a dumb idea. Illinois’s good players got their shots and had the freedom, Brad clearly needs to recruit a different kind of role player

Was that thing firing his son because that's a bit unrealistic. Problem is they want to run a pro offense with only shooting 3s or lay ups. That is not Tre's game.

I get the analytics on 3 or short two but sometimes you gotta just play to strengths and take what the defense gives you. NCAA is not NBA no matter how much you want it to be.

I realize you're responding to.... umm... yourself

But anyway- I wouldn't categorize players who want guarantees of playing outside their feasible roles and choose money over development as priority players

When you recruit players that have changed teams every year, you should not be surprised when they change teams again. Just sayin'.
Louisville, USC, Illinois and ..... Do these guys even take courses??? The guy is not a potential pro player (just a good college player) so why not stay at Illinois, play BB and try and get a degree from Illinois??

You didn't know that people lie? Money has been, and always will be, the biggest threat to retaining players. Then again, getting benched by TYLER UNDERWOOD would piss a lot of people off. Does that mean we get Always Wright?

He is a 2nd rounder next year in most mocks

Ok this is becoming a joke. How long until college basketball becomes the NBA, and people stop watching? The NBA became a snoozefest, and we sadly aren't far behind. No one is acting quickly enough to establish some rules, parameters, contracts, etc. to stop this nonsense. If i was age 18-23, I would take the money also if someone threw a 7 figure amount at me. Anyone in their right mind would. The NCAA is and always has been a disgrace, and it continues to show. The leadership punts on hard issues, and looks the other way.
