Storr would take over the offense to improve his NBA chances, to the detriment of the team. If he didn't work out and you parked him on the bench, he would be a negative in the locker room. ---Just say NO.......

you might be right. there's definitely risk here. but a short time ago we had a quite vocal segment vehemently against DGL

What’s the most NIL dollars you’d spend on him? Say you have $6m in total NIL to dole out.

An empty roster, the most NIL in the conference, an established relationship with their new coach Devries who heavily recruited him out of high school while at Drake...and now has the resources to pay him handsomely.....

I don't know how one would feel confident in Dix choosing Illinois over Indiana.

I'd be happy but quite surprised if he picked Illinois over Indiana alone.

With Ivisic Bros likely to space it out on perimeter (taking opposing bigs out in the process), they've got to get athletes that can get to and finish consistently at the hoop. No more of bombs away and clank offense. No more taking the 4th-most 3's in D1 and finishing 318th of 364 teams in 3FG% in D1.

Jmo but I would say if Indiana wants to use 2M+ on him... be my guest
agreed, he is never going to sniff the NBA, and he would have to play LOTS of years overseas to bank close to $2M he is asking for. Insanity.

Storr has too big of a personality to simply just bench him and it not effect the team imo. Especially if he decided to really be a problem.

I do tend to agree with Indy though. He has to make right this season, both on and off the court, if he really had pro aspirations

I mean worth is a funny word. None of these players are really going to bring the kind of money back to the university that they're being paid. Maybe Cooper Flagg was worth whatever he paid in real dollars. But maybe not, I mean Duke is Duke regardless of Cooper Flagg.

I wish we had settled somewhere in the middle on this paying players nonsense.

Even the people supporting a potential Storr signing are saying "Well if he's a locker room cancer we can just cut him off the team". Guys, what happens when we sign Storr and it turns off other prospects?
Who would it turn off? If we give say Dix (or any other major portal or HS recruit) the insane amount of money he wants, and he's scared to compete against the guy we picked up from the clearance bin, what does that say about Dix?

Please no on AJ Storr. Last thing this team needs is a ball hog that shoots 30% from 3.

He reminds me of Caleb Love, but if Caleb Love really sucked
Some here don't want the slow climb to mid 40's percentage that Dix provides from 3 just because he has a punchable face. There's a lot of weird biases we have as fans lol

Additionally, Dix takes care of the ball, A/TO rate has increased every year. If you don't want him, you're crazy

Sooooooo… where do we stand with AJ Storr?

If there were any kind of real NCAA-type enforcement policy... shouldn't there be a rule that if you re-enter the Portal that you should not be allowed to return to any program that you left? That might have guys think a bit more about whether they really should leave the place they know or not.

I’m not advocating Storr but Boswell shot twice as many 3s as Storr and Boswell was 24%. Storr shot 30% which was average 3pt percentage on our team and higher than the average of our returning players to next year’s team.
