Hear me out...

We offer Will Riley 4 million to come back...

Is it irrational? Yes
Is it my money? No

It would be completely against him. 2 years of a "sniper 3 point shooter" that can't perform in the B1G leagues. If he had some defense/effective booty ball to fall back on, his horrible shooting nights wouldn't be as bad. If you're brought in/upgraded for 1 thing, you should be able to do that 1 thing. *Cough* Hamer *Cough*

Is he still going to declare for the draft while maintaining eligibility...just to show up his bro that failed twice? If we lose out on them, our season would be a 10-15 finish in the B1G at best.

If Tomi’s brother is the only big fish we add, I would try to get DGL back.

Boswell
DGL
Rodgers
Ivisic
Ivisic

2 Euro bigs, with 3 frantic athletic guards (that albeit can’t shoot). I think that would be a fun feisty team. DGL/Ty both have lot to prove.
Y'all need to learn to dream bigger.

Yeah I understand although the U of I won’t look at it from player’s perspective. They will give WR as much time as they can but if they get an opportunity they won’t pass it up. And if WR misses his opportunity to play at Illinois next year then than that is a consequence, Illinois can’t be held hostage by looking at it from WR’s perspective.

The more I think about Ty coming back, the more I get warm fuzzies inside. I'm excited to see him back on the court. I bet he has a little extra juice after watching a season from the sidelines. It is 100% the best surprise of the offseason, and I'm including this done deal thing with the the Ivisic brothers (not complaining about that).
I agree wholeheartedly- Ty also can play/guard so many positions. That versatility is really valuable to allow to mix and March different lineups on the floor, to be able to get that with a veteran guy that knows your system is huge

You're right. You don't have to guard him unless he's within 5 feet of the hoop. I'm glad he'll be back, but I sure as hell hope he doesn't start or get starters' minutes. He's a smaller Morez.

Nobody seems to be mentioning Riley. If we get him for another year along with the Ivisic twins, watch out! For that matter, if KJ comes back, the more the better. He sure didn't look like an NBA talent the last third of the season.

I love watching Jake Davis play. The dude really was great at the .5 basketball thing. To my eye, he always cut and rolled with conviction and pretty well always made the right decision of when to shoot and make the next pass.

He struggled on the defensive end a bit. I'm not sure i see him getting significantly better at that, but I hope they can get him Fletched enough to improve.

I'm very glad to have him back.
