He's a much better player than Ben. Way more to his game, bigger, more physical.Pros: He's a Montenegrin Humrichous
Cons: He's a Montenegrin Humrichous
Sure “strong team” & another non third weekend appearance. Why can’t we build a truly elite team with all the resources this program has?The lack of composure is entertaining, however.
With that’s said, I believe Underwood will build a strong team. Looking forward to seeing it come together.
Go Illini
But didn’t Lee hear that U of I was listed as an Ivy of the MidwestSounds like Kentucky leads for Mgbako …

WTF how much NIL do they haveOur “pipe dream” who we had absolutely no chance with just committed to Michigan
Yeah but we’ve already got a gym named for himEveryone’s going to be after him …
Extremely similar bodies and games. He's a much better player than Ben. Way more to his game, bigger, more physical.
Seems like Providence is a big-time player these days. How did that happen?Sounds like Kentucky leads for Mgbako …

May had Nick Boyd (all Mountain West), Alijah Martin, Vladimir Goldin, Johnell Davis. That team should have won the AAC easily last year. They didn’t and got beat by a short-handed NU in the first round. Will start by saying I think May is good coach
Though, I do agree with altgeld that a Final Four appearance via non-P5 school doesn't instantly make you elite
Nobody is shaking in their boots to go up against Larranaga or Brian Dutcher, although like May, they are or were good coaches in their own right
Michigan loaded up in the front court last year as well, and we took an injury ravaged squad into Ann Arnor and thumped them by 20
Michigan is leading for Lee too??? Good lord May is cookingSounds like Kentucky leads for Mgbako …

Hearing there are Euro plans in the works this weekend. This fanbase sorely needs some news, and I think they are going to get some soon.
I got the impression he was benched because he was having a terrible game - so Pitino went with the folks he thought gave them the best chance to win in the last 5 min - it happened at least once with KJ this year as I recall when he was having a terrible game. Make no mistake he was a key reason St. John's had the season they did. His season efficiency and shooting % are not bad and he's one of the better defenders in the countryDidn't Luis get benched in the tournament because he was being selfish and not coachable? If Pitino doesn't want him, I don't want him.
I'll pass...

I’m pretty sure he will get drafted pretty high and not make it to FichiganMichigan is doing work. Wonder how he and Morez play together?
The league Mirkovic shot 38% from the field in last year is the same one Trent went over to and immediately became a top-5 player in the league in. I love Trent, but he was never a top 5 Big Ten player. Big Ten basketball is a step up in level. I think Mirkovic could be a decent multi-year proposition but I just don't see how he's an immediate impact kind of guy.Extremely similar bodies and games.
That said, Humrichous doing that stuff as a 21 year old in the Missouri Valley versus Mirkovic doing it at 18/19 in the adult pan-Balkan professional league are two different stories, that's true.
Andrej KosticSomewhere in some Slavic backwater there’s a 6’6” kid with a name we can’t pronounce getting up shots who’s never heard of Urbana Champaign who will be starting for the Illini in six months.
