Absolute insanity that BU can't see how bad this looks. Why is he so against finding these kids perfectly fine landing spots to grow on their own???
Keep an eye on the Sarr story. Might just not be over just yet.

Word going around as of last night was we are looking at other options so I would say the ship has sailed…but to describe things in general right now are in my post above. Needed to clarify that.

Brad’s own career was him toiling in the weeds for many years before finding the big time.
He is probably trying to shield TU from going through the same.
It’s also sort of weird that TU seemingly wants to never leave the nest. Like why isn’t he chomping at the bit to prove himself on his own. Perhaps a Zoomer thing there - they never leave the house (got one of those in my own extended family).

I know some of us have been in the workforce for a while and have had many different experiences.
I have worked in businesses where several family members held leadership positions. None of these experiences were good, and all came with issues due to those family (or friend) relationships causing favoritism or giving people jobs they were not ready for (or capable of in some instances).
I have no insights into our staff, but I would be very, very hesitant to enter into this situation. Add that to the assistant and player turnover we've seen; it would raise enough red flags to be at the bottom of my list.
Going against someone's son (or daughter, wife, etc), even in a professional setting, you will lose 999 out of 1000 times.

UCLA has two equally inexperienced (possibly even less experienced) ACs as well. They recently landed Donovan Dent, one of the top guys in the portal. USC, who has been mentioned as a possible landing spot for Sarr, also employs the coach's son as an AC. Like Tyler, Michael Musselman has never had a basketball job where his dad wasn't his boss. The same is true for Steven Pearl, who is the son of Bruce "Satan" Pearl at Auburn.
Indiana's new coach has spent the last 3 years using his position to make sure his son makes the most possible NIL money in his time in college, including shutting down his season last year at WVU so he could maintain another year of eligibility. Yet the same people that drag BU seem to think very highly of Darian DeVries.
People seem to think these kinds of things are unique to our program, but it is actually very common in NCAA basketball. Which is probably why JW didn't veto Tyler's hiring from the start.
A lot of hyperbole going around. I get the angst. We have a coach with a polarizing personality. And I get the dissatisfaction with not landing our "star" yet. But I would avoid spotlighting selective posts that support bias.
Re: Assistants - Several Assistants have worked with Brad repeatedly (e.g. Gentry, O). Some may argue "O only came here because we're the only school willing to pay him to that level". That's laudable. He's a highly sought after coach. And I'd imagine someone would take him at a high price point, even a marginal step down to what we're paying him. That is if he like everyone else hates Brad so much
Re: Players - Several players have spoken highly of Brad. No surprise, those who thrived in our system loved Brad. Those who didn't had negative things to say. I'd focus more on those who left on neutral terms and still went out of their way to speak highly of Brad (e.g. Coleman, DGL??? Skyy clark for god sake). I can't claim to be close to the matter, but I wouldn't overindex on hear say. From all accounts, KJ has gone out of his way to advocate for Sarr to come here even.

- Coaches and players hate Brad
- No recruits or assistants want to come here. But Boswell supposedly took a pay cut vs what SEC offered him because he's crazy

That would be my guess here. If he does come, not sure I like the fit with Adam as much. If it was Watkins, I would.
