If you had a chance to work with your 24 year old son, teach him, help him achieve his dream career would you pass it up?

Lots of coaches did it. Sons: Pat Knight. Richard Pitino, Brian Dutcher Andrew Hurley (dan). Murray Bartow. Joey Meyer.

I'd like to ask you a couple questions and I don't mean them in a snarky way at all:

- Toxic is probably too strong of a word... how would you describe the general vibe and state of the program?
- Do you agree that Brad seems to turnover players and ACs at a higher rate than other HCs do? if so, are you alarmed at all by that?
- Are you content with the current ACs and their levels of responsibility or do you think Brad should make some changes/upgrades to the staff?

also, God Bless Kylan Boswell. Love that guy.

Whatever he's paying his agent, he should double it. Absolute masterclass to get his $

Good info. Thanks.
Are those other coaches' kids the primary or secondary offensive/defensive coaches, like ours?
Or do they other AC's calling the shots?
Steven Pearl is actually the Associate Head Coach (higher title than other ACs) and yes, is listed as the "Defensive Coordinator" (Tyler does not have a similar title).

And keep in mind, if the offense is Tyler's, it's been a top-15 offense the past two seasons. So if you're criticizing the hire, you're criticizing it for nepotism, not performance.

Musselman earned his, climbing through every level instead of having it handed to him. Even Pearl, one of college basketball’s biggest DBs, made his own son wait nearly eight years before trusting him with the same role Tyler received almost overnight. Framing BU’s actions alongside DeVries’s only underscores how ill‑advised that decision was. What you thought would bolster your theory actually highlights just how premature and misguided BU’s promotion of Tyler truly was.

Given that its percentage based he probably already has :D

I get the Hamer Hate (to a degree) but Tyler is actually doing a good job. And coaching definitely runs in families. You grow up with it, it's in your blood. Tyler seems pretty smart to me, and the results MOSTLY speak for themselves. If more of the wide open shots had gone in that should have gone in, we would have easily won 5 more games. Even with all the illness and injuries we should have won more games had players performed as expected/as they did in practise.

My biggest issue with NIL is that I've been priced out of making an impact. I make a pretty good living, but when you see seven figure deals being thrown out, what good is $10k going to do? I've been trying to get players to come for appearances for some youth organizations I help with, and it's insanely difficult to find who to contact and then just as hard to get a deal lined up.

I’m criticizing the offensive performance this year …

Stop shooting so many 3s when it isn’t working …

We may not be totally out on Sarr quite yet … But the way this one has gone, we could be out within the hour … The number has gotten pretty insane for him …

It's funny, I've already moved on from Sarr and I've had my eye on him since last summer when I watched every one of KJ's games in that FIBA tourny, Sarr was another standout and I thought he would look great in O&B. But these are the portal times, you get excited about a kid from watching highlights and thinking about how they would fit in, then they are quickly dead to you when they don't come here.

I will say this - Sarr will not find another better opportunity than he will here. His table has literally been set for him. Tomi as a pick and roll partner made KJ a lot of money this year. KJ was clearly less effective when Tomi was out with mono. Having a pick and roll 5 man to work with as well as a pass first senior PG in Boswell who can guard the other team's best player is a huge help to someone like Sarr that will need time to adjust to the college game and find his role. He would be one of our primary scorer options but not counted on to do everything. I can't think of a better set up for him - which is intentional, because Brad has been expecting him and recruiting around him since the portal opened. If his agent is just going to maximize his money this year, that would be very short sided IMO- he could be a lottery pick next year if he finds the right situation to maximize his potential.

Well … I didn’t even have to say it …

I’d also add though … If you’re an elite assistant … Why would you come here ?
I honestly am dumbfounded that all of this information is swirling around out there at other big schools, and some of our big $$ guys are withholding funds, now they are going to try and squeeze more money from season ticket holders to do the reseating at SFC for a team who might be a mid pack B1G team at this point.. Not going to happen.. I will take that extra and buy a new smart tv and watch without driving 2 hours every home game and freezing.

Very well stated! There is no reason for some of this behavior . No problem with expressing your opinion but no need to be unkind.
