This kid is extremely talented and skilled. I'd be ecstatic to get him..

Would something like this be interesting to folks here? I need to add some columns... probably need to add minutes played & class/eligibility... but eligibility remaining seemed to be difficult to get a definitive answer on for a lot of players

EDIT: Also, I threw this together quickly so corrections are encouraged
Looking like a Purdue title is ahead

Why do people just gloss over the fact that, right or wrong, factual or not factual, the narrative that relationship between the 20 something’s and the team is not good. Who cares about nepotism? Who cares about the results? If the relationship piece is broken, we wont keep kids and sooner or later, the negative recruiting will start.
You say this is a fact, but is it really? What evidence do we actually have that this is a fact? I haven't seen any.

And who cares about results? Really? Who doesn't care about results?

FWIW - Watkins is asking for Sarr type money …

CBM - Bidding starts at $3.5 million …

Ace Wolf - I’m hearing it’s down to Baylor, Texas, Gonzaga and Illinois …
Serious question: if at some point the going rate for a stud difference maker is $3-$3.5 million, and teams like Michigan, Kentucky, BYU, etc.. are paying that.. doesn't that tone down the "overpaying" crowd? At this point- it's just the going rate for great players- and if we want to be great- we have to pay the going rate, I mean if we are truly competing for championship..

OK, I'll bite.

What qualifications does Michael Musselman have that Tyler Underwood does not?

What qualifications do Nate Georgeton and Brendyn Taylor (both at UCLA) or Rem Bakamus and Ken Nakagawa (Arizona) have that Zach Hamer does not?

USC isn’t a top 25 team but anyways … Michael spent time coaching in the G League and is ELITE recruiting and scouting wise … He’s also the 5th assistant at USC …

UCLA … Taylor played at USC and professionally and is well known in the LA area as a great player development guy and is VERY tied in locally with recruiting … Nate handles all of the recruiting and advanced scouting for Mick … He’s been Mick’s guy since UC …

Rem is an ELITE player development guy who also actually played at Gonzaga … Walk on or not … He knows how to relate to current players … Scott Drew tried to hire him back last year … Ken is very involved overseas and with all things scouting … Has been with Tommy forever …

The overall note with all of the guys you named … None of them are the Defensive or Offensive Coordinator for their teams … They play a role …

Agree completely, but I was stating nepotism to play D1 and coach D1 without the qualifications really. And again, I really don't hate the 5th assistant spot for the price. But, I agree, many of the best coaches were mediocre players.
He was mostly a walk on from what I remember. Maybe on scholarship his last year. In this scenario, he’d been in his dads offense for a few years and I think it was really beneficial to have someone on the court to help teach the guys.

The coaching is a different story

I've seen this kid do some amazingly good things on the court, and some amazingly dumb things on the court. A little too emotional for my taste, but he is a very good player when he keeps it in check.
From watching the highlights, he looks very good. Reminds me of TSJ.

My vote - lets go all in on Watkins. If he passes then we go to plan Z.

Be lucky to get 1 of those 3 …

And Ace would have to take less to come here …

For all 3 of those guys you’re talking nearly $6 million … Maybe more …
What is preventing us from landing Watkins/Stojakovic and Adam Miller? Money surely isn’t the obstacle

So, do we not have the funds that you are saying we have? I thought we were top 15 in NIL? If you are top 15, you should have money for at least 1, if not 3.

Ace has a couple of offers on the table right now over 7 figures …
As much as I talk about spend what you need to spend to get guys and there's no such thing as smart spending in a salary capless environment, this is not one of those guys I want to spend on.
