Cause you have now set your own bar, and it will cost at least that much to bring Andrej back next year or he walks.
In your hypothetical, 4-5MM for Stoj would be a huge misevaluation of the market by the staff, considering better players have gone for less. Several have indicated his price is just under 3, which seems closer to market value. Brad’s model leaves us looking for multiple high value players each offseason, so this is the game we will continue to have to play in order to maintain relevancy, I assume.
