Which is, by definition, literally impossible.

Is there any indication that we would lose due to the financials? Everything I have seen from insiders has indicated we have the largest offer with room to increase. I think if we lose this recruiting battle, it will be because AS feels he has found a better fit with another suitor. The good news is, it seems like our other targets are waiting to see what he does.
TBH, I am more excited about Jamir Watkins, overall, but not sure where he places in the draft!

I asked him the same question. It's easy to throw darts at insiders who are putting their necks out there versus wanting to come across as he's also an insider, yet he plays both sides of the coin.

Not a fan of that.

Keep doing your thing Louisville, Indy, DBH, 0440, etc.

A person employed by DIA leaked on Wednesday afternoon that AS signed a contract. Was that person wrong? Misheard something about a meeting with Icon? Not as ‘in the know’ as they thought? 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♀️ Doesn’t matter at this point.

Not exactly how deals are done. If there's a handshake agreement, you honor it. Hard stop.

If the other party doesn't, then that's just the chance you have to take. You don't go around the guy you have an agreement with because of a feeling or assumption that you're going to get screwed over.

If it turns out that he holds to his word, then we've wasted the valuable time of a other player that's being back burned, while also showing distrust to the initial target.

Just because we assessed a player's worth lower than they ended up didn't mean we weren't capable of spending on that player. We just pivoted to a similar player for the price we wanted to pay. I wouldn't call that outbid. I call that smart resource allocation.
Very good point.

In other words. IT'S A FAKE. Just like the stupid post from supposed 0440. Some people are idiots.

Nah they've been a villain here for quite a while...
He’s talking about Andrej not UNC…

I feel confident given the insiders info. On top of that the facts that he’s not seeming to go on any visits, isn’t getting any crystal balls elsewhere, and the fact that we’re the ones who got him in the portal

I think the Mickey D lawyers are still finalizing the 'Nuggets for Life' language in the NIL agreement.

Yes. Has all the characteristics of AI generated image. Including the highly unlikely position of the camera man.

I am fine with this. It is a very important decision for this young man. It is actually refreshing to see the player taking charge (not the agent/handlers).

However, if he does take less money to go to UNC, then there is a larger underlying issue at play, as it is not just money leading key players to go elsewhere.

I prefer to remain optimistic for now.
A potential "larger underlying issue at play"? Gosh, I hope not. For the sake of Illinois basketball moving forward. And because I can't bear to watch/read the over-analysis on this site, and the tear-down of the Illinois staff and culture.

Final decision has been made privately from what I heard. Graphic could be released at any time, not even going to guess a timeline at this point. Shouldn't go past Tuesday worse case is what I will say. Pretty confident it's us.

Small chance he picks UNC, but we have way more things working in our favor right now.
I am with you, and let's do this! Thank you for all of your input and patience (with us) through this process.
