I'm in. Maybe he could be outfitted in traditional Slavic folk dress, accessorized with buckskin moccasins and his old style feathered war bonnet. Dance moves could be a combination of Southeast European folk moves, and Native American traditional dance. The culture police that got rid of our old traditions may be so confused they won't know how to react. As long as we could still get the 3 in 1 from the band at halftimes for accompaniment , I would be down.

I, for one, will be pulling for Ben as much as any player in recent memory. I have to think that his second year with us will be noticeably better than his first.
They may or may not add another player but if the right player comes about after the combine, could easily convince donor that the piece would be the missing one for a title. As is now I think they're a top 4 team in big 10 right now.

While Ben’s minutes will for sure go down I believe his productivity will go up by a lot! Having seen High D1 speed and defense for a year and an off season to work on it, I am in the camp that there will be a lot of Ben key moments with a modified role next year! Hopefully all the Ben bashers will not be fair weather posters and own it if it happens! If he continues to miss key shots then I will definitely be wrong!

Just listened to today's Sleepers video on YouTube. Their sentiment was Illinois is anywhere from 2nd-4th in the B1G and an elite 8 team at best as the roster currently sits. They believe that if a late not quite ready for NBA addition from the portal were to come, the conversation changes.

Do you think that Illinois would be a better TEAM in the 25-26 season with 3 of the Indiana transfers, namely Bailey, Wilkerson, and Dorn, instead of 2 of the Illini additions, namely Stojakovic and Mirkovic? I'm guessing that these 2 Illini additions cost as much (or more?) than those 3 transfers to Indiana.

I have to admit, I obsessively follow Illini basketball to escape the ugliness in the real world...Regarding Ben, I only privately ever said anything negative about him. I had to quit looking at the Illini FB page, the worst things were said about players and Brad there, even during games.
I think Ben staying is a very good thing for both sides. At some point, kids have to realize their next level potential. The NBA is a very exclusive club that only allows a fraction of those who think they can join. International options are much more realistic for most, and Ben can continue his career that way. No shame in that!
He had such high expectations from Illini Nation, his bar was high. I think he plays better next year with the pressure off, and he will get a great education and be set up for success without moving to another school.

Don’t see him being worse. And if he’s only getting 5-10 min a night… I’ll take it for the occasional night he gets hot and hits a few. Ideal scenario is him having a similar year that Luke had as a sophomore. 13mpg/42% from deep on 3ish shots a night.
