The bar is getting closer to last call, and Adam Miller is likely realizing his prospects have dimmed significantly since the beginning of the night. Most of us have been there, especially in our twenties, but typically with significantly less financial stakes. I'm probably in the minority, but I feel bad for Adam. It seems like he's gotten poor advice every step of the way through his college career. Hopefully, with some hindsight, he'll be able to evaluate who really had his back in his decision-making process and who was simply trying to get theirs through him.

100%. And Irvin is fighting the last war so to speak. The days of AAU coaches having programs over a barrel, particularly Chicago AAU coaches and Illinois, are long gone. Brad just went out and got Petrovic, who is likely a better player, for the same money or less than Irvin was trying to wring out of him. We don’t need to play footsie with those creeps anymore, and good riddance. But I am sorry Ace got caught in the cross fire.

Therefore every preseason #21 until the end of time should expect to make at least the Elie Eight?
Um no, that’s not what I’m saying. It simply demonstrates how wildly wrong media professionals and overly opinionated fans usually are when it comes to recruiting and preseason predictions. Last year, Kansas was preseason #1, North Carolina was #7, Rutgers was top 25, and we weren’t ranked. No one can accurately predict how teams will gel & perform in this new age of college bb.

I don't feel bad for him at all........he made a poor decision to leave the Illini program as he was a freshman starter and had improved his defense skills greatly.......

wonder what his NIL would be right now if he had stayed here for his entire collegiate career ?..........I think it would be more than he gets for this year , where ever that may be......JMHO.........

Several articles suggesting riley would be better off returning with his draft stock eroding to late first round. Any chance this happens?

The erosion of his draft stock is not a universally-held belief. Kevin O'Connor has him at #17 as of 2 days ago. I think before the combine it's all pretty murky tbh.

Very high means the 2nd week? That's my expectation. Not sure if this is a final four team though. But I can be pleasantly surprised!

So you are talking this as an ILL saga with Miller or just Miller himself?

It is foolish if he still listens to the Irvin's.

Good. Seems like handlers have been way too involved his entire career. Good luck to him, but for too much baggage for my liking.
It is so crazy to me that after everything, if true, he still allows himself to be handled. You would think he'd have grown over these years and put a stop to it.

I am not sure if it's erosion but I think his mocking draft spot has always been late first round since the late season. It will be tough decision making time if he stays in that range.

Fears is a top 10 pick and he was almost an Illini

I think we will have a clearer picture soon after the combine.
