Brad has pivoted every year since 2022 I would argue … Young, Old, Young, Retention … When it doesn’t work we just go in the complete opposite direction …

It’s one of the things I love about Brad is his willingness to adapt and pivot … It’s also something I can’t stand because it’s becoming too much adapting and pivoting and so far in one direction instead of just slight tweaks …

The EDG culture … Those days are gone … Trent was that dude … DMFW was that dude … Feliz … Ayo … TJ … I could go on …

Who’s that dude on this roster ? I understand it’s likely Ty but it is tough to lead when you’re not playing … But I know that kid will try …

And if the answers Kylan then fine …

Who’s that dude on next years roster ? Ideally Ty but we all know it’s no guarantee anyone’s back …
why not Tomi or Stoj what am i missing?

UI's place in the landscape means adapting and pivoting every year. Until the program is ELITE this is the game. Elite programs will be able to poach the best transfers and recruits. I have no problem with what he's doing. Win a chip and things will change.

I’ll play devils advocate. He has a nice stroke, has good footwork, and executes nicely in the pick and roll. It looks like lot of Fletch in his future.
As a "power" guy I hope he can grow 3 inches and add 50lbs. I mean I look at this as walk on type add on a team with expanded15 scholarships and essentially a $0 hit on the NIL budget. I mean we dont have walk ons anymore right? His $ will come from mom n dad.

Davis is a back-end-of-the-roster guy who didn't cost anything.
Agreed, this is an end of the bench guy that now gets one of the added spots on the roster that in the past would be a walk on. I don't see him dipping into the more important NIL $. Our rotation is typically 7 to 9 guys tops and he won't be taking money away from those players receiving NIL dollars. The end of bench 14 or 15 guys now get scholarships. They didn't used to but NIL budget is what impacts the top 10 guys imo.
Hopefully he can grow, get stronger, develop and if he does not develop into a role then transfer. If he does pop then it really didn't hurt our NIL $ set aside for top players.

But I thought our defense sucked because of Hamer, not because we lacked good defensive players? Now that Crocker has taken over as the "defensive coordinator" that's all fixed right?
Maybe the thinking is if we improve the defensive coordinator we can extract better defense out of our low-defense guys?

This precisely and anyone who

1. Is acting like he will be counted on to ever play a single meaningful minute here or
2. Is getting worked up over this

needs to log off and take a deep breath
Last year he averaged around 10 MPG, you think he's playing less this year?
