The fact is it would be easy to create a highlight film of Ben that would make you think Ben could not be replaced.
The f**k?

A highlight could easily be made of why the hell is he getting minutes in the Big 10. Thinking BH is irreplaceable is ridiculous.

It's his best position (assuming he hasn't loss much athleticism from the injury). Labeling him as a guard is more aspirational than evidence-based.
Can anyone verify that Ty has been able to develop on the sidelines the last 2 years via shotmaking, passing, handles, etc.?

Highest ever was #5 in 2004.
In 2001 or 2002 they were #2.. disappointing season, HRF regressed, plus injury to Lucas Johnson hurt the team. Despite bringing everyone back except Marcus Griffin from elite 8, they were knocked out in S16.

It seems there is an insider or fake insider on the Louisville side that is the reason they are all acting giddy. Supposedly called the Shelstad/Flory thing and claimed they (Louisville staff) talked to Blackwell and he said if they got those two he’s in.

The problem is, it appears to be an unverifiable text going around that could literally just be made up, but, that’s one reason their fans are acting the way they are right now.

Kinda funny because I put the Flory and Shelstad news on here Friday night …

Probably where they got it … 🤣

Well, if that's the case, then let's retain him, so he can be a great backup for Mirk.

Yes you did! And they most likely took it from you!

I’ll probably catch some flak for this but Vaaks doesn’t look like he can beat anyone off the dribble. Slow footed with finesse.

I know the insiders are saying we are still in the drivers seat for Blackwell but man seems like there is a lot of smoke with Louisville. Don’t love that

Eddie is one of my all-time favorite Illini. That said, who in Chicago fits the bill? I would love to add some quickness because, as has been pointed out, quick guards have given us fits the last couple years.

Makes me think back to the days when 3 of our starters would from Chicagoland, another from Peoria, and maybe one out-of-state kid.

Now we're more likely to get a guy from Croatia as we are from the state of IL.

Wagler didn’t either
