Last year we were second in the nation for all D-1 teams in fouls given at 13.4. Foul discipline was a strong point for this year's team, especially in the front court.

Specifically for the front court (T, Z and Mirk), the highest total between those three was 11 fouls against MSU, and there was <6 times that they combined for more than 7 fouls.

I get where you're coming from but it's pretty tough to have a reserve guy as a 4th man in a top-tier front court rotation, who is serviceable enough and who we would want taking up minutes, vs getting one or two more high-caliber 1,2, or 3's.
BU didnt play Z and Tomi much together last year. I dont think having 2 guys actually to play the 5 and 2 that play the 4 is really a lot. We dont right now. Now it seems we have 3 guys expected to be in the rotation at the 4/5 spot unless someone else plays spot minutes. God forbid someone misses time. We have a plethera of 2/3s. If we need to go small and just outscore them we likely can.

Why would you ever espouse an opinion so well-supported by facts?

OTOH Boz did just fine guarding players that were a LOT taller
I still have the sight of him absolutely walling up all 6’9” and 230 lbs of Mark Mitchell last year (24-25) in the Braggin’ Rights game seared in my memory. Ben was getting lit up and Kylan came in and bodied him.

I’m not saying Ty can do the same but I do think he can give up a few inches to guys and still give them some trouble, especially if he’s coming in as a reserve and primarily battling the other team’s backup forwards.

Either Louisville is spending less on Bidunga and Shelstad than rumored . . . or they have a budget way over $20mm.
I feel like it's kinda weird to think of it as a "budget" as if that's a salary cap number that they fill with whatever players they can find and it stays (or goes up) every year.

Their donor community sees an opportunity with certain players and they're going for it. What's possible right now might not be possible in future years.

I know it’s been said before but retain who we believe we are going to retain… Add on Blackwell plus QC/Morillo… And a full summer of Fletch with that group… Will be a f*cking war in the best way possible

They need to build their roster almost entirely through the portal, as they have only one returning scholarship player, and zero HS recruits. They are rumored to have committed over $10mm just for their first three players, and are now courting two more guys in Blackwell and Murauskas who have asking prices of . . . let's just say top dollar.

"Moneyball" has an entirely different meaning there.

They’re going to have the highest paid roster in the country next year …

More than Kentucky spent last year …

Wisconsin fans on X are KILLING me lol

They are insistent that no one should want Blackwell and yet they’re furious that he left. It is making my heart so happy
Here in Madison there are some who talk about his underlying confidence issues, and how it took a lot of coaching and teammate support to keep him aggresively shooting. Put a spotlight on him (and his potentially huge NIL commitment) and one could possibly see him getting into a confidence funk when the boo birds (or coaches' harsh criticism) come out after a bad game.

Nearly 20 ppg… imagine what he could do with a shot of confidence!

I wouldn't be surprised if Blackwell is waiting for the official retention announcement so he knows for sure who he would be playing with. Let's hope that announcement comes very soon...
I’d be hard pressed to believe that he wasn’t informed yesterday during #TheMeeting…
