Some team is going to take a chance on him. He is 2 or 3 years away from being Joel Embied or worst case Steven Adam’s. He is correct he is coachable and his physical assets you simply can’t coach.
I love Kofi but "worst case scenario he's Steven Adams" is one of the more orange kool-aid comments I've seen in a while. There are most definitely worst case scenarios that are realistic and fall short of Kofi being an NBA starter in 2-3 years, lol.

I really hope someone does take a chance on Kofi. I think he just offers a presence very few can offer. At worst, he would be a change of pace to try out if a team is behind. Make the other team account for him (and they will have to…) and steal any momentum. But I think (hope) he can be much more than that.

Ceiling: generational NBA big man
Floor: ~10 year NBA starter
DB11: Astounded
I really hope you are right. Most mock draft boards don’t seem to see it this way tho. Not that any of these talking heads (or I) know how to project a player like Kofi.

I think what DB11 is saying is that he/she is astounded that someone would say Kofi’s ceiling is Embiid (a generational big man) and his floor is Steven Adams (a 10-year starter).

Kofi will never be Joel Embiid in a million years.
All of you doubting may very well be right, but your not giving his work ethic any credit at all. I worry about his foot speed as everyone else does, but he has a nice touch on his shot. He simply does not have the feel for the game yet that Embiid does (by the way when spell check changes the spelling of an unusual name it makes a great deal of sense to chastise someone for that - really?).

Can he learn a better feel for the game? We will see. He did not grow up playing basketball, I believe he will and his physical presence can’t be denied. Hope if I am correct you all will come back and have some humble pie.

Kofi goes undrafted, but the Celtics sign him because they can afford a big man on the bench who can bring physicality when they need it...

Watching Looney with the Warriors last night totally exceed what Draymond Green could do to the Mavs.... makes me think that perhaps Kofi has a key NBA role against many good teams.

?????
What about Looney’s game last night or in general gives you hope for Kofi? I hope Kofi can carve out a niche and definitely think it is possible, but nothing about Looney’s game reminds me of Kofi’s. Is it that it has taken Loonet awhile to get to this point?

Kofi just needs to be able to defend the PNR and switch off on a guard. He does not need anything more than a 15 foot jump shot. Maybe he is never a star, but I think he will find a place. Look at Brooke Lopez he was a terrible shooter when he came into the league. He is a good player now.

Looney pretty much lived in the lane and was a huge reason why Warriors came back from a 19-point deficit and won
