There are plenty of people on this board that appreciate the info you pass along.
At least consider coming back under a different name. Like others have already stated I usually come to this board looking for a handful of posters that consistently have reasonable & timely posts.

Posting on these kinds of boards is a high reward, high-risk endeavor. You want to share with others the understandings you have about things... but you always run the risks that go with putting yourself out there and having to live with negative static that will result. Sometimes you just get tired of taking the flak.
Thanks to all the posters who come here and honestly just want to share what they know and hope it resonates with others. Some of it will be right. Some of it will be wrong. But if it’s coming from an Illini fan with the best of intentions... two big thumbs up. Not every shot at the basket goes in, either.

Can we talk about how this will tarnish 0440's reputation with the Illinois Loyalty Board? He quit on his team half way through an AC search and the live period. I hope he moves to a new board and has a mediocre career and no one ever heard about him again except for a Google search.
We only want those who WANT to be HERE. This type of behavior is ruining college sports forums everywhere. 0440, you could have been THE MAN here, now you will just be another at your new forum. Good riddance.

Can someone clue me into what terrible things were being said that supposedly drove 0440 off? I honestly just see a pretty normal discussion, with posters ranging the full spectrum from "this is what any smart player would do and I expect Kofi to come back" to "Kofi is gone and definitely going to Kentucky."
Count me as one of those who appreciates the info from those who appear to actually be positioned as "insiders," including 0440. I don't take that info as gospel, because I'm sure it's relayed just how they receive it, but that doesn't help if their source is misinformed or if things change rapidly. And I don't think it's unreasonable to speculate on whether that info is good or not, when the publicly available info paints a less optimistic picture. I don't see that as an indictment of 0440 and other insiders, as sometimes info that is good yesterday is outdated today, and other times the insider's sources are just wrong. It happens.
I honestly don't know what kind of discussion you all expect from a passionate fanbase when its All-American, once in a lifetime type of talent player enters the transfer portal. I would be surprised if the message boards of other schools were as civil as this one is when something that big is going down. Rant over, please resume vilifying each other (and probably me now). Really enjoying all the posts about how awful this board is, such a welcome change from the terrible incivility of a discussion between people who have different opinions /s

Well, I'm hearing he was told he needs to work on his GIF's and /s comments to make it to the next level. He must have found a message board that can help him with that.
I may be way off here but my guess is 0440 is just exhausted by the back and forth here rather than feeling vilified. Not everyone with access to that kind of info is a forum freak like most of us are.
Maybe something in his life changed. He could be moving, thus losing his connection. He could be changing jobs requiring more time and less time to blog. Maybe he was tight with OA or Chin. It dosen't have to be about the posters. I appreciate his info and wish him well.
We’re all just meat bags looking for attention in the small, finite amount of time we have on this tiny, floating rock we call home. Not sure why people talk so much crap on here behind their little phone or computer screens. We’re all Illinois fans (for the most part) so I’m not really sure why people feel the need to call others out on information they are getting and reporting. I will say, if I had information and someone said I was wrong, I wouldn’t get mad and quit posting on a forum. The whole thing reminds me of high school. Not everyone is going to like you or the things you say so why get upset when not everyone believes you? If what illini0440 says is right, then the people calling him out look like idiots. If what illini0440 says is wrong, who cares? At least we get to have a little hope of something good in an offseason that has been a train wreck for the most part. I appreciate the insiders on this forum, but everyone on here can choose to believe or not believe what they say. That shouldn’t offend anyone. Opinions are like buttholes. Everyone has one or something like that.
