Thats what I get for deciding I want to try to follow illini basketball again. Illinois doing Illinois things. Ill stick to just being disappointed by Illini football

Another loss where we where we looked like we didn’t want it more than the other team...gotta go to the bench and get some energy or at least try...great teams find ways to win these games

This is all on Brad. Not playing Cole and keeping ineffective players on the court. Monte needs to sit. Start CH against Nebby this week. Get BBV some clock. We cannot keep playing DW as he cannot get an open look. Miller was silent in the second half. Players need to quit thinking aYO is going to bail us pout night in and night out.

Curbella with some really bad decisions down the stretch. Somebody postgame please ask Underwood how Kofi doesn’t touch the ball the last 5 minutes. Effing horrible coaching.

This team really needs a reliable third option.

I was hoping that this would be the game that Miller got hot and put up bunches.

Maryland and Missouri have had our number lately. I don't know what it's going to take for this team to wake up. Maybe tonight will do it, but I doubt it.

We deserved to loose the game. MD played very well and I agree with everyone else. Why did we not get Kofi the ball any the last 10 min? It has been apparent that this team is very good, but not elite since Ohio.
I love Ayo but a wing three there would have been a better idea. Miller was shooting well, would not have been bad to have DMW and Miller on the wings to get a 3 that was not 25 feet. Oh well, big 10 championship is going to be a long shot now.

Morsell outplayed Ayo tonight on both ends. Maryland might not be quite as talented as the last few years, but they still have more guys who can create their own shot on the floor than the Illini do. In a close game, that usually spells trouble.

So frustrated with this team and coaches.

This. Why are people making excuses? Make more free throws (FREE shots, guys), and we win. Fewer silly TOs, and we win. Given how the final seconds played out, and any play better than an off balance Curbelo rainbow down 3 and we might have won.

Who can seriously say we’re playing like a team trying to win a Big Ten title? Get a top seed? Make the Final Four? I mean, I’m not dumb enough to think the players don’t want that or that they don’t give their all, usually ... but we don’t look like we have that mindset. The last three minutes were painful to watch, and you’re doing mental gymnastics if you aren’t severely disappointed in our team’s and staff’s performance in that span.

I thought we were maybe done with this. We’ve been able to beat good teams on any given night for most of Weber’s AND Groce’s teams, guys! We already got back to “winning most of our games” last year. This year should be more. I sincerely hope this changes the fire our guys have, but I’ll officially press the alarm button if we don’t beat Nebraska VERY easily. Zero excuses. We’re MUCH better than they are, and not beating them easily should embarrass these guys.

It is very notable that Frazier, DMFW, and Giorgi combined for zero points.

It is perhaps more notable that they only missed 7 shots. Curbelo missed 8. Ayo missed 14. Maryland had 7 blocks.

If Belo and Ayo want to be special, they need to recognize their center DOMINATING and get him the ball. Kofi only got 10 official shots tonight (also 5/6 FT), and THAT is the travesty.

Coleman was playing well, was much better matchup to defend the 4 and we never see him again. What is up with that Brad?

Ayo made some bad choices at the end.

Whoever the guys was that said we had 4 easy games coming up deserves 10 Saturdays with no Dr.Pepper.
Just wait until we hit the actual good teams. We might be lucky to be any better than an 8 seed by the end of the Big 10 season.

That is exactly right. Yet he rarely passes out of those to an open shooter. Never has. That is on the coaches. So frustrating and very simple to coach in film session.
He may have trouble passing out, but did you see when he backed out of the double team then made a move after the double team defender left and got an easy basket? My mind was blown. He's definitely being coached up, he never could have done that last year.
