I agree with your thoughts Chazz........it wasn't a fumble like the previous poster was referring to.....The scUM qb1 had the football pinned to the ground and also had his knee down on the turf....the football wasn't moving around as he pinned it down so he could grasp his other hand on it.......

I will always think he had possession of the footbalol and a knee on the ground and theplay should have been whistled down ........

One of many blunders by the reffing crew that handed the scUM scum an undeserved win......JMHO

if that player was wearing orange & white that game, he would have been whistled "down" and no one would have said any thing about it , including us
but he was playing for Michigan, so theres that
