Thanks Dan. This is exactly what I dreamed of - a forum I could express my beliefs of Ulis's uphill battle with nba success. PG's I'd take before Ulis:

1. Dunn (not causing an uproar amongst you all)
2. Demetrius Jackson (he'd be a surefire top 10 pick had he come to U of I :hand:)
3. Wade Baldwin the 7th
3. Dejounte Murray
4. Gary Peyton II

5....maybe just maybe Kahlil Felder

I'm curious to see how long it takes Maker to get drafted. I think someone will will take him in the first, maybe even lottery based on his potential alone. He probably won't contribute much offensively for a few years, but should be a somewhat helpful player on defense off the bench. My dream scenario for my Lakers is to get Ingram at 2 and then hopefully everyone sleeps on Maker and get him at the beginning of the 2nd round.

Maybe it's just me, but even though there is only a select few potential all stars, there seems to be a solid number of role players in this draft. Guys like Brogdon could definitely help some teams.

Thon Maker is going to somehow end up with the Spurs and they'll refine his game and he'll be an nba all-star by his 3rd year the league lessening the blow of Tim Duncan's departure while being a great compliment to Aldridge.

I'm going to bet on Ulis vs. doubters every time. Remember when he was going to rot away at the end of the bench at UK and regret not considering UI? :smash:

Dunn and Jackson are the only ones above Ulis. The rest are below Ulis by a step or two

GPJ shot a total of 162 3's in college at a .302 clip. He was a career .652 ft % shooter. He's not a good shooter at all. He's a Ricky Rubio, but plays better defense

Turn into a star? He has no jumper. You need a jumper to play guard in this day and age.

We will see. And Rondo says hello. Which is who I have seen analysts comparing him too.

In Sacramento where he has to be a focal point. Put him on a contender, and he's a role player. See his Celtic days

I guess he's the focal point. If you discount Demarcus Cousins. He is still a triple double threat on any night. He played extremely well all year. I would take Rondo over most pg's in the league.

Him and Boogie are the focal points. He's not a star at all.

What starting PG's would you take him over in the playoffs? All 16 teams

Are you referring to his 4 all star seasons? All-NBA team? When he was the starting point guard on a title team? I've totally lost sight of the point you're making.

If it's that Payton can't succeed in the league without a jump shot, I don't totally disagree, but Rondo is the perfect counterpoint. You'd be better off just citing him as a statistical aberration.

Rondo had 3 HOF players around him, and a HOF head coach. What'd he do without them?
