Wagler going top 10 is a rare feat for an Illini, but I firmly believe that TSJ would have easily been a top 10 pick but for the BS charges against him. BU has the development cooking. Hope next year brings more of the same.

All of the parts of this process that aren't delivering under pressure in 5-on-5 basketball with stakes on the outcome are going to tend to reward the guys other than Wagler, be ready for that.

Honestly, you could sense some of the claims about Wagler's length and wingspan in scouting circles were arising from a sort of "how can we possibly explain this impossible performance level from this three-star recruit no one knew about? Oh, I know, he's secretly super long, that's how he's doing it"

Acuff measured better than expected. 6'2 barefoot and 6'7 wingspan.

I think this gives him a good chance to take the 5th spot over Keaton but it's either or. can't go wrong with this choices. Keatons size, poise, shooting and decision making vs the unreal explosiveness and scoring of Acuff.

The problem with drafting Acuff at 5 if you’re LA is that you’re kinda drafting Darius Garland 2.0 to eventually be better than Darius Garland down the line. Just too much overlap there.

Wagler has a lot more on/off ball versatility.

Wagler's measurements are a bit unfortunate. I hope it doesn't hurt him- but his lack of explosion and being 6'5 instead of 6'6, and only a 6'6.25 wingspan- isn't ideal

agreed with that and heard that's why Keaton is perfect for them. heard clippers could move this pick as well. or try and get into the top 4 but I doubt that happens.

side note: I didn't realize Acuff shot so well last year

Is this going to be like that LSU OT a few years ago where there was a huge debate on draft position because his arms were 34 7/8 “ instead of 35”?

The Pacers trading for Zubac and a 48% chance of losing a top 5 pick is one of the all time bad trades.

You cant risk losing even #5 in this deep of draft for a player the level of Zubac. Just horrible
