NBA Draft

#76
Unfortunately, he's going to get stuck in one of those three dumpster fires, but maybe his lack of being ready to play now will allow him to drop into a winning situation. Joining Flagg would be the most ideal spot, being with Kerr would be the second best and being anywhere remotely close to OKC would be fantastic. First class organizations with first class winners.
Why do you think he can’t play now? The NBA is based off of size / ball skills / shooting ability. He absolutely checks those boxes.

I really like the versatility, athleticism, and talent that you guys have. Your squad will be.a real factor in the East provided they don't import any knuckleheads to ruin the chemistry like past iterations have done.
I fully understand that the Wizards will pick who they feel is best suited for their team. However, I think it would be a tough deal for Riley if they pick Dybantsa. They seem to play similar positions, and if the Wizards pick AJ it won’t be for him to come off the bench.

I get it’s the NBA and you always have to compete for your job, but it feels like Riley would be getting set aside in that case.

Bulls move up to 4 (y)

I think the mocks are gonna have them grabbing Caleb just I think there's a chance he doesn't make it to them. He's gonna absolutely dazzle and wow in individual workouts. Best 2-way player in this draft IMO

Feels good to have the opportunity to grab a blue chip prospect alongside #15.

bulls jumped to 4 but they are trying to grab wilson. im fine bc of kg comps but picking boozer would be a disaster.
trade down at 5 and get wagler for the sake of god.

missed way too many illini players like jaku, will riley and got rid of ayo who is a star. ideally i would want to get rid of giddey, 15, and last yrs 12 for wagler but hes risen way too high hes not going to survive past 6.

either way getting both wilson and wagler would be a homerun draft and perennial contenders. they need to do whatever it takes to make it happen.

Clippers, Nets, Kings, Hawks, Mavericks pick 5-9 in order.

1) Who do we think picks Wagler?
2) Which teams would be really good fits for him?
3) Is there any possibility the Bulls take him at 4, or will they stick with whoever is left of the consensus top 4 picks?
close to 0 bc top 4 is consensus. i do think wagler will be top 3 player in the draft but gms dont like to make risky moves. he will gone by 6. 5 most likely.

I'd happily take Boozer if that occurs.

Clippers and Nets are where NBA dreams go to die
Eh, last top 5 pick for the Clippers made 6 all star games in his NBA career. Nets have done alright despite not drafting in the lottery since 2010 until 2025. Got an all-star in Jarrett Allen at #22 in 2017 and both teams drafted several players who have had long productive NBA careers. Not sure what you expect from teams consistently drafting in the 20s and high teens.

Bulls get the easiest pick in the draft. Just take whoever falls to you.

Between the lottery, the Portland pick conveying, and replacing AKME with a reputed top scout, the prospects of this draft for the Bulls have improved to an astonishing degree in the past two months.

This is a golden opportunity to turn the ship around.

As for Keaton Wagler, to be totally honest I'd kinda rather he fall to a team that wants to use him on-ball rather than be shoehorned next to a ball-dominant player. I just think being able to orchestrate is better for his development.

Possibly a franchise changing draw of luck from the Bulls today.

Four in this draft is better than one in past ones.
Heck, I'd say the top 8 in this draft would have gone 1 in 2024 (though everyone sees Castle should have gone 1 now).

This would be what I think would be a slam-dunk draft by the Bulls FO:

1. Hope the top 3 drafters are wowed by Peterson and Wilson's athleticism, so Boozer falls to them at 4.
2. Use what other capital you have to try to get a second pick in the top 8.
3. Use that pick to draft one of the 4 tier 2 lead guards (Wagler, Acuff, Flemmings, Burries)
4. Suddenly be a fun young team to watch

None of them. Falling to the Hawks, Mavs, Warriors or Thunder would be the best scenario for him. He'll make a little less upfront, but he'll be properly developed and will make the money up, in spades, on the back end.

He's going to play alot as a rook (even if it's a bench role). Truth is, you're not going to be a top 5 pick in this loaded a draft if GM's think you can't even get on the court.

Would the Clippers not use him on-ball? I don't think they're all-in on Garland. If they take Keaton with #5, they're going to give him opportunities. Could see a scenario where if Keaton does well early on they use Garland as a trade chip.

That would be amazing, but I'm not sure the Bulls have enough capital to pull that off. Everyone is looking at those 5-8 picks as being very valuable. Like top 3 pick in a typical draft, maybe even better than that. How much would it take? 3 firsts? The #15 pick in this draft, 2027 first round, 2029 first round? Would that even get it done? I'm not sure.

What stands out with Wagler is that OREB%.

BG not necessarily tied to Giddey. Think that Wagler would get plenty of opportunity to show his orchestration skills.
