Nebraska 20, Illinois 7 Postgame

Well, I've been to a pig roast and a weenie roast before. But, given the abysmal play by both teams (with the Illini offense furiously digging to see how far down rock bottom really is), this is the first turd roast I've ever witnessed.

Bielema seems to be Lovie 2.0. Same problems, no offensive plan, no discipline, bad penalties, etc.

Illini2010-11

Sugar Grove
Mark it down. We are not winning another game the rest of the season.
Same could be said for Nebraska. Two really bad teams played tonight. Embarrassing game for a national TV audience.

Commentators were grasping at straws complimenting Nebraska's defense. It was completely woeful offense, plain and simple. 3 times stuffed from inside the 1 on first drive is crazy (though I thought one or two may have broken the plane). Not a fan of shotgun 4th down, but you still need a better push than that.

Also some official should lose their job for missing one of the clearest pass interferences I have ever seen at end of game (though it didn't truly impact overall outcome...Illini weren't getting two td's).

Amazing how bad these 6 weeks have been. Without a crazy 4th down play in Week 1, the Illini should be 1-5. I fear that this will result in a major drop in season tickets next season. Close to the worst case scenario for season is playing out; but hey, Illini are keeping the faith alive to losing to 4 new B1G West coaches.

OC and OLine coach need to go. We need to dedicate some of that NIL money specifically to the Oline.

Defense isn't what they were last year, but what do you expect when you lose 4 DBs to the NFL. They are doing fine. I'd prefer Leonhard as the DC, but what we have now is fine. They can't be blamed for the offense never giving them any rest and constantly putting them in terrible field position.

But holy hell, the offense is a joke. Play calling is laughable. I'd fire Lunney before the season was over and hand over play calling to McDonald just to make a statement. Not like it will affect our results. Can't move the ball if the Oline can't block. Oline can't block if they can't get a rhythm.

I don't get it, each of the last 2 games we storm straight down the field on the opening driving, fail to get in the endzone, and then it is pure garbage after that. I'm sure the first drive was scripted and probably practiced, but they're that much worse when they're just running other plays?
