I would transfer tonight if I was him.
Yet Brad just praised DGL specifically and says he’s gonna have to do something different with the starting lineup. 🤔

Told them not to throw it inside.
Something…something…baseline drift pass?

Says he always tells them TEN total TOs or less?

Hawk Harrelson said it’s not who you play it’s when you play them. Nebraska has some talent and is tough at home. They’d lost 2 straight there. We were going to get their best shot.

That said, that is an eminently beatable Nebraska team. We needed to play a lot better than we did. Or, at a minimum, not stink. Couldn’t hit a 3 to save our life. Way too many unforced turnovers, and defensive breakdowns. Effort just wasn’t nearly good enough tonight.

We looked like a young team (which we are) on the road against an old team fighting for their lives (which they were).

But we are putting up far too many stinkers. Feels like we are only playing well about every third or fourth game. Even without Tomi and Morez in foul trouble with our talent we should have won that by 15.

There were reasons to write off the other losses but I’m officially concerned. Need to find some consistency and quick.

I was a big Ben fan and still think he could be a decent contributor, but as the 7th or 8th man getting 10-15 mpg. He doesn’t have the stamina to keep up, and when he does exert himself to play good defense, his legs are tired and affecting his shot. The fact that he has the green light when it’s clear his shot is way off is infuriating.

It's February now. I'm done, I don't trust him and don't care. The guy gets talked up like Domask, but bro couldn't sniff Jack Ingram's jock.

Don't bet on it. Brad's teams have been chucking up 3's, playing street ball, and turning the ball over for years. He ain't changin.

I agree, Brad has gotten comfortable and has made costly mistakes with BH, Tyler, and Hamer. He clearly needs an x and o guy on the staff. With all the talent and $$ on this team, Whitman should to have a conversation about the staff even if they make a run in the tourney. BH will take care of itself soon enough.

Hate to even consider this given that BU has truly brought us back to national contention, but I think it has to be considered (not that Whitman would seriously do so at this point), is Brad's ceiling an Elite 8? With coaching like tonight I just don't see how Brad Underwood is even close to a leader whose team cuts down nets in March.
Yes

Definitely playing a role in the stubbornness, I’ll leave it at that

Here’s my opinion … Who gives a 💩

What’s Ben gonna do ? Sue ??? Too late for a “mental health” redshirt like some of these kids did …

He ain’t a connected guy to any AAU team … His little brother ain’t a 5 star … I could give 2 💩 if we tick off his “circle” …

🍑 meet bench … It’s time to win and win now …

The best 5 play … Period …

Man do I miss the Trent and DMFW days …

Yeah, given how the early season was trending, I was expecting us to be truly dominant by now. I don't know what is going on. Is it the illness? The fact we rely on younger players who haven't faced adversity like this? Poor coaching? All?

I don't even know, but this is t even very fun to watch. It's one thing to watch a mediocre team fight hard and lose. Its another to watch a team with multiple future NBAers lay down and die.
Yep I got hooked on Illinois basketball when Lou had to play Neil Breshnahan at center. We weren't good but we played hard and fundamentally solid.

You genuinely wouldn’t believe how much.
This makes me sad because it's means the evaluation was bad. I think it was bad on Boswell too.

The reality is that you simply can't replace 99% of your roster and expect any continuity, any depth or any real experience. We have literally one legitimate big outside of Tomi and that's Morez. Ben is the next best thing, which I'm sure he's getting the minutes he's getting. Having him in on the last play was probably to help spread the floor or potentially get a rebound/putback? No clue.

Even though we

1. shot horribly from 3
2. turned the ball over way too much,
3. gave up multiple dunks on inbounds from under the basket
4. Did a horrible job inbounding the ball when we had a final possession to win it in regulation
5. Took our hottest player out of the game during that final possession and most of OT

I still think we lost because we have no legitimate big guy on the roster other than Tomi and Morez. It’s a huge hole on the roster and it is going to continue to be a problem.

these turnovers are just due to casual and lazy passes, as well as TOTAL mental lapses. I think that speaks to poor effort.
And the guys making the TOs act like they just don't care that the F'd up. They do not value every possession. They take plays off. Then they repeat the same stupid unforced TOs time and time again in the same game. It is not AAU ball. The season doesn't start in March. I just don't get it

Sure the kids were awful at times this game, and probably deserved to lose with all the turnovers and bad shooting. But, it's been clear Underwood struggles with end of game situations. I've heard Brad say many times that you should not call a timeout in a final possession of the game with the shot clock off. What does he do? Calls a time out and lets Nebraska get their game plan to foul three times. He had to know they were going to foul. Once we have the ball we had to attack the rim to get them to foul us as quick as they can. Instead we hold the ball to under 10 seconds waiting for them to foul us. Then throw the ball 15 feet over the half court line to take another 5 seconds off. Got lucky they were called for a foul on an attempted steal. But since we did not have a final timeout we panicked, threw the ball in the corner with no where to go which led to basically a hail Mary shot. Brad chocked as much as the team tonight.

Hey Brad, it wasn't the STARTiNG lineup that was the problem. It was the guys on the floor at the end. You have complete control over that.
