My final uniform prediction for the season. :ROFLMAO:

- We wear O/B/O for every single home game, with ONE exception.
- We wear O/O/W for the Penn State "orange out" game (the orange jersey that people have found available for purchase online). Personally, I think that orange jersey with our new white pants will look pretty good.
- We switch between O/W/O and O/W/W completely randomly on the road.

If I remember quickly, they probably were going to release the set earlier in the year, but Nike faced delays. So maybe they got us the bare minimum and the rest will come when Nike isn’t as rushed for the start of the season.

Shoot, that sucks! Echoing the questions above mine ... navy pants??

When I travel back to watch the Illini get our first win in Kinnick since 1999 (a game I was hilariously in attendance for as an 8-year old who just moved from Peoria!), I would love us to be rocking the O/W/B look like when we got that comeback win at the Big House. :cool:

the problem we had for many years with the Block I helmet was it was orientated plumb on the helmet when the helmet was sitting on a table , but then it was “crooked” when the player had it on his head , and it looked “stupid”

From what I can see, the I on the helmet is finally put on properly, during the Lovie years they were crooked when worn, but straight when the helmet was sitting on a table. They finally look good/correct when the players wear them - that old placement drove me nuts for years.

They really pop. Can't wait to see the road kit. Am very pleased.

Watched game at a bar with an Illini brother. At one point Syracuse highlights were playing on an adjacent monitor. He did a double take! No matter. Ours look much better than theirs.

Bielema said on his radio show that it's up to the leadership council group of players. I'd assume this means up to the captains basically.

As a funny aside, I remembered us wearing totally random uniform combos under Lovie (a welcome change under Bret!!), so I decided to look up a random season ... holy smokes, the "leadership council" in 2018 must have really liked to switch things up! :ROFLMAO:

vs. Kent State: O/B/O
vs. Western Illinois: O/B/O
vs. South Florida (Chicago, IL): O/B/B
vs. Penn State: O/O/O
at Rutgers: W/W/W
vs. Purdue: B/G/G (Galloping Ghost uniforms)
at Wisconsin: W/W/W
at Maryland: O/W/O
vs. Minnesota: W/B/W
at Nebraska: O/W/W
vs. Iowa: B/B/B
at Northwestern: B/W/B

That is some serious uniform ADHD. :ROFLMAO: Seriously, though, I support letting the kids pick ... it's their team, and they should enjoy every second of eligibility. With that said, I do like that under Bielema we have settled into more of a "classic" routine where we have a definitie look.
