Should have been up 14 with the ball. Doesn't excuse that bad throw but the refs flipped the entire game.

Fields can’t take those last two sacks. Throw the damn ball.

I must be watching a completely different game than the people still critical of him.

He has to make school yard type plays all day for this team to look remotely like an NFL team but then he's expected to not try and make a play and just take whats given.

If he's doing it when this roster is ready to compete fine but right now he has to keep doing what he's doing.

They are running him so much because they know he will get killed behind this line. At least when he's on the run he can slide or run out of bounds, he is going to get killed sitting in the pocket behind those dudes. Especially with no Jenkins.

On the third down play in particular he held the ball forever. Either throw it away or try to force it downfield. If it gets picked so be it. Your at your own 20 with a minute left. I don’t think that’s a controversial take. Also, while what he has done running the ball the past five games has been amazing, he will get killed doing that as well.

I had a nice day. I lost confidence in my daily lineups so I did some cheap triple ups and did the free games. I was in first in all 3 free games for about 30 minutes. I feel that is the most famous I’ll ever be. Those 30 minutes the 100k plus people that had to look at my username in first. ‘‘Twas a good day.

1000% agreed on all accounts.

That said, the habits he's developing in terms of always extending plays rather than getting rid of the ball probably won't serve him well in the future, and the history of great running QB's in the NFL is a history of guys who had short careers and were hurt all the time. And Fields in particular, even at OSU, has a way of taking some pretty nasty looking shots in situations where other guys would absorb more glancing contact.

I think two things have changed from where we were a couple months ago.

1. It's a no-brainer now to at least give Fields a chance with a better team around him in 2023. The cost of trying to bring in a starter from elsewhere is too high and would too negatively impact the roster building that's desperately needed elsewhere. There's going to need to be evolution as a passer from Fields for any of it to work in wins and losses terms, but that failure is a 2024 problem at this point.

2. The miserable, cynical slog of this open tanking season is suddenly must-see TV because we have the most fun player to watch in the league. Good news!

What's the Bears-iest outcome? Well, both 1 and 2 would be blown to smithereens by a Week 13 or so ACL tear for Fields. So that's probably what will happen.

Browns-Bills on Sunday moved to Detroit due to impending snowstorm in western New York that is set to drop up to 4 feet, not inches, of snow in some parts between now and Sunday morning.

They couldn't push the game back a day like they did for Bills-Jets back in November 2014 because the Bills play the Lions on Thanksgiving. Lions are in New Jersey this weekend to play the Giants so Ford Field wasn't going to be used anyway.

Sounds like the Bills did not get out of town before the snow actually started and are now stuck due to a travel ban?
