Bummer. Much less of a disappointment than the Maryland game though.

As for missed layups, I struggle to call some of those misses "lay-ups". There needs to be different classifications for lay-ups and contested bank shots/up and unders. Yes, they are close shots. But that doesn't mean they are easy under different circumstances.

We just made some people happy by making their game against northwestern a more highly rated game. Darn it.

That was actually a very good game. Entertaining and competitive all the way. The stats are going to say that we missed a lot of layups, but we also put up a lot of tough layups.

But at the end of the day I HATE losing to the Mildcats.

you could say the same about our defense...

That's not happening short of running the table. We don't have one really significant win and there aren't a ton of opportunities left on the schedule. The MD game is going to be an anchor around the neck.

Probably looking at anywhere between 4-7. This was a golden opportunity for a true road win and missed it.

When we are good, we are really good. But we just have stretches where we are bad. We missed layups, and bad D let NW feel way too comfortable. We have too many possessions that we just do not value. In a game like tonight they all counted, and we had too many empty ones. Hats off to them tho, they were hitting everything. They wanted it more, for some reason. TJ probably gonna take a couple weeks to get back. May have to limit his minutes in away games, unfortunately.

Annoying to lose, but it took YET ANOTHER herculean effort from Northwestern to get that home win, and I thought we played pretty meh all game and still had the game-winning shot attempt. A lot of small things we can poke holes in with our team / effort tonight, but they made shots on their home court and we missed shots on the road. I don’t know — we’re the better team, and it stings to lose, but this Northwestern team feels like one of those Rutgers teams of years past that’s like 11 or 12 points better at home than away from home.

NW 10-14 from 3 in second half. Doesn’t matter who you are, you’re not gonna win a lot of games when you’re letting an already good team shoot it like that
And yet, they had a shot to win it. Domasks shot was the game, and it was a reasonable one. Too bad he couldn't put it in.

Hopefully we can learn from the Bouie drive and drop off to Lurch because that is exactly what that little fart Smith will do when we play Purdue
