Who do you think should be DC instead? He's spent a lot of time in the industry working in the NBA, WNBA, and collegiate level. Has a lot more experience that our OC who is the coach's son

I’m still mad. We are better than this.

Total lack of discipline with the lead. Underwood, fix this defense.
We are not better than this. This is the ceiling. We win 20 games every year and lose in second round of ncaa. It’s better than it has been but it is the “Underwood Ceiling.” It’s not bad. Feels better than the bubble or the 8-9 seed line. But it’s the “Underwood Ceiling.” This is Illinois.

I think the whole “Ty was our point guard all along” was just BU protecting his ego over failing to land a PG. Unfair to put that on Ty, and then keep him out of the lineup during critical moments.

I’ve been doing this for several years now. It’s a waste of two and half hours when they lose. I could care less anymore, until we make a NCAA run.

Wonder if there’s group consensus among players + coaches that Hamer went and FUBAR’d the defensive strategy. Like.. “we’re all thinking it”

Domask is one of the last things I would put the blame on ... We put A LOT on him ... Every single game ...

Coleman spent all week talking :poop: ... Then played like absolute :poop: tonight ...

Where has Quincy been? That dude has fallen off the face of the earth ... Has absolutely disappeared for like the last month ...

And we all know about the defense ...

Domask and TJ were the only reason we didn't lose by 20 tonight ... We didn't have a single other guy get double figures ...
But still...2 missed layups when it counted.

After I gave Coleman his flowers after last game. Tonight just wasn’t his night.

Please play Ty the last 5 minutes of every game. Even if Brad says he’s not defending well, he terminates possessions with defensive rebounds.

We can’t guard an inbounds play involving a screen because we’ve never done it ourselves. Literally my junior high team ran better OOB.

TSJ was pretty damn good tonight.

Wow, what a collapse. Coleman was a one man wrecking crew there down the stretch. More concerning than this loss though, and it became evident during this game, we won’t win more than 1 game in the dance. Maybe not even one. Our defense is just too awful. Harmon, Domask and Goode are just not good defenders, and having all three on the court at the same time? No way.

When has Brad ever adjusted schemes in season? I’m not at all surprised here. We died on the “over play the passing lanes to cause turnovers” defense for two years before it was scrapped. It took me two Big Ten games to realize it would never work.

Pretty much every year we have scrapped the offense after the Mizzou game ... Last year we scrapped the whole offense and went spread after Christmas ...

Who else has the ability to handle the ball and make free throws?

They've been doing the guard by committee since October. Get ready to keep soiling yourself because that's what we have.
Actually over the last half of the season very rarely has anyone other than Domask brought the ball up and initiate the offense. Brad apparently doesn't even trust anyone else for that. Pretty much ends the Ty is our point gaurd debate.

I like Domask. The team doesn’t have the record they have without Domask. But I’m not sure I would be comfortable with him playing 38/40 min of a game as our primary ball handler
He shouldn’t have to. Ty should be doing the magority of the ball handling. I know he had 4 fouls but he needed to be out there.

If Penn State can run a normal out of bounds play to get 3 layups during the game we should be able to run a simple play just to get the ball inbounds
100% this. It's a mission for us just to get the ball in bounds. And I'm not just talking about end of game situations but overall. It seems like every time we inbound it we're up against the timer and have to chuck it up beyond the 3 point line to Dain/Coleman just to narrowly avoid a 5 second call. I don't know that we scored on a set inbounds play all year.

With about 9 min left up 8ish points and 3 TOs left, Domask (I think) picked his dribble up 4 ft north of 3 point line… was in no man’s land and dead in the water… I’m screaming at Brad to call time out. He doesn’t. Ball gets stolen and they make a transition 3… I thought it was a self inflicted wound and a big momentum swing. All on Brad.

Can someone explain to me why anyone thought he would be a good hire and why are we allowimg him to coach so much??
