Vegas odds down to 5.5 points. Are they now taking a bus? 9 hours to DC for a noon tipoff tomorrow will make for an exhausting game

I'd guess they'd bus to a calmer location (Toledo?) and fly from there. That's a long trip before a noon tip off if they were to bus all the way. Will be a long trip, nonetheless.

There's discussion by the Big Ten to change the schedule to accommodate Michigan. It's just never been done before so everyone is trying to get together to see what can be done. I could see they them flipping the two early afternoon games around, but it gets tricky from there and a decision needs to be made pretty quickly.

Just what Illinois doesn't need...a distraction and the team thinking all they need to do is show up now. Would be SO Illinois to lose by 20 to a team that just went through a plane crash 24 hours prior.

Seems like kind of a late departure when you're playing at noon the next day. Maybe Michigan ends up forfeiting, thus costing Illinois a chance at a much needed resume building win....

Ha I thought about the same thing. That would be sooooo Illinois. Just when you think Groce is due for some luck.

I'm guessing there will be a contingency plan if things don;t go smoothly in the morning like pushing games back, moving the MSU game up, etc.

Double header on Friday!

I wish that was Iowa. Could have been some great video of Fran McCaffery yelling at the air traffic controller and refusing to shake the pilot's hand on the way down the ramp.

Jeze, feel bad for Michigan. At least they're in. I'm still concerned, this Michigan mishap has opened the door for a classic "Only Illinois" moment

I thought the Big 10 had a rule that you had to be at the location of the game a day ahead in case of travel problems. Has that been changed?

Looks like Michigan will be traveling to DC tomorrow morning. That's not exactly ideal for them, one less excuse for Illinois. Fingers crossed, bubble has been kind to us so far as well .

My fear is that Michigan will use this as motivation to prove that they are blue collar.
I actually talked to a Michigan fan who attributes the turnaround in the Wolverine's toughness to that jab by MM. There are a few joking suggestions to have Mav be Michigan's MVP this year, as his barb caused the team to form a more cohesive identity and play for something.

It may also explain why the Big 10 is not moving the games or cutting them any slack, By the old rules, They should have already been in DC before the plane was even scheduled to leave.

Glad everyone is safe first of all.

I am also wondering why they left so late. Illinois left Wednesday afternoon/evening and practiced at a high school in DC today.
