I remember Illini games were on WCIA; All games IIRC. Never missing the first few minutes of important games because the earlier games went OT. Hometown broadcast.Go back even further to the 50s. The only game was the Cubs on Sunday afternoon. You had to read about Skip Thoren, Tal Brody, Bogie Redmond, et al.
I remember watching the Cubs and Phillies on Saturday Game of the Week, battling it out for seventh place in an eight team league, before WGN became a Super-Station.
I remember when baseball cards were a nickel a pack.
Were those the good ol' days?
(Am I off-topic again? Sorry.)
