That's a winner!!
OH
This will be ugly. Top scoring offense vs second worse scoring defense.

Yeah this one is not going to be fun.

Of course, we'll probably win and then lose to Minnesota at home.

IU presents some very challenging defensive matchups for us at 4 positions, while they stand a good chance of taking our shooters out of the game. We could lose this one by 25+ if the Illinois team that played this afternoon shows up.

Here's hoping our team that played against Purdue shows up for this one.

It'd be a gamble, but I'd play a 2-3 zone most of the game to limit dribble penetration and hope IU doesn't go off from 3.

This has the potential to be a very ugly loss.

I bought my dad and myself tickets to this game as a Christmas present. Hopefully it's not a complete disaster!

We can compete with Hill, Nunn, Finke, JCL and Lewis. It's just a huge drop off to MM, AJ, Tate, & DJW.

Not even close, but that was a good try.

Also, I don't think many here would consider Lewis a B1G caliber starter.

Feel free to go look at their per-36 numbers. Their production is pretty much identical. Also, the implication of the poster I replied to was that Lewis was B1G caliber. Feel free to provide advanced stats to prove your point, I don't pay for subscriptions to KenPom. Lewis is a little more aggressive to take shots, as represented by his 2 extra FGA per game, but that's about it. They both struggle as scorers, both don't turn the ball over at a high rate, and are okay defensively, but not stoppers.

Lewis vs Tate is a non-issue.

At ncaa.com, there are seven pages of teams for rebounding margin. Indiana is on page one, Illinois is on page seven.

FG%, FG% allowed, and rebounding are the reasons we aren't consistent game to game, as we don't rebound, don't take good shots, and give up good shots.

I don't think advanced stats are necessary to determine who is the better player in this case. The eye test is more than enough. The team is better with Khalid on the floor, his minutes bear that out. He's savvier, draws more fouls, and the team tends to run better with him on the floor. He's a better ball handler with (IMO) better floor vision. He tends to make better decisions with the ball, probably because he's a 5th year senior.

I also think he's a better defender.

I'm all for a starting lineup of JCL, Nunn, DJ, hill and Finke. When Yogi is getting some rest, bring in Lewis and Tate as they probably match up better against their 2nd string point.

Again, your 'eye test' will not bear better significance than statistics. So, feel free to provide statistics to prove your point, or your eye test is moot. Statistically, they are the same, save Khalid taking 2 more shots per game at lower percentages than Tate.

Regarding your points... Jaylon takes more FTA/36 (at a higher %), essentially the same A/TO ratio, and while I don't have stats handy for defense, plays largely comparable defense. So please, provide stats to prove your point, because those that I have disprove your 'eye test'
