I always lose my mind briefly and go into the game threads. Then, after reading roughly a page of awful hot takes, I shut it down and just watch the game play out on my own. It's better for my mental health that way.
I might post before the game begins , but once it begins I don't go back there AT ALL........My fragile little mind can't fathom that what I read is from an Illini fan........it's like a get out of jail card free and anything goes , so not my cup of tea.........been avoiding them for at least 2 years...

I really have to believe the defensive front seven and the offensive line bounce back next week.

Well you guys thought Brad gets into his guys ... Should have seen Bret after watching film of his lines after that Toledo game ... He knew during the game but seeing it on film just infuriated him even more ...

Good ole fashioned 🍑 chewing ...

They will be improved ... Or Bret will literally throw Whitenack and Henderson in there ...

McCray showed lots of potential but since his injury he doesn't seem to break the arm tackles/drive his legs through the hit like he did as a freshman. I think he might be playing a bit scared or more conservative to avoid the injury. I'm hoping as the season goes on he regains his balance and leg drive.

That was his first game back fully healthy ... He has looked a lot better in practice ...

Let's give the kid some time here ...

It is pretty tough to do anything when you have someone in your face before you even get the handoff ... That ain't his fault ...

Would've loved to have heard Bret talk about the blocking on the 4th down miracle. That spin move the OLB put on Gesky, my goodness. On the other side, couldn't tell if that was Josh McCray we had out there or one of the sleds from practice.

Great points, I am happy to hear he looks stronger/more explosive in practice. I'm not saying to give up on him, more just that he needs to earn repa away from Love rather than the opposite.

Totally agree ... I expect a lot from Josh as does Bret and the staff ...

But calling it like it is ... Reggie has out performed him through spring, summer, and fall ... Feagin also has looked better than Josh at times ... And IMO, Feagin will be the main guy next year ...

Josh knows there is work to do ... Get the OL to help him ... He feels better after playing a game and getting back used to game speed ...

We'll see what happens rest of this season ...

Well, I can tell you that the play was on the big screen for the whole group to see ...

You can imagine what a guy who prides himself on having a rock solid OL who keeps the QB on his feet had to say about that play ...

Bart knows improvement must happen and if that means changing out the rotation ... Then that is what it means ...

I would really like to see Zy slide back over to Guard and throw Whitenack at RT ... And I think that is something that we could definitely see ...

You think Feagin will jump Reggie as a senior? That would be great to have 2-3 really great RBs next year.

Is there a way to find out who the broadcast crew is for our game? Can't find any details.

"Kickoff is slated for 6:37 p.m. CT on ESPN2 with Anish Shroff (Play-by-Play), Andre Ware (Analyst) and Paul Carcaterra (Sideline) on the call"

Defensively ? Absolutely ...

Offensively ? I am not so sure ...
I guess the optimistic way to look at this then is that our offense was a genuinely pleasant surprise, and our defense looked uncharacteristically "off" vs. Toledo. So, maybe if our defense got the jitters out of its system and the offense remains solid, we have a great chance vs. KU!

I thought Crisler really struggled at tackle, but so did Gesky in crunch time. What about swapping Adams and Crisler?

The primary reason I usually don't go to the game threads is because I'm watching the game via DVR. I'm watching 'semi-live' and often will be caught up by the end, but in any case I cannot abide the endless commercials. Toledo was an exception and I carped about Millen a bit, but agree that overall that thread wasn't nearly as bad as some I've seen.

Did Adams take any reps in spring or fall at tackle? Sounds like a last resort plan if none of the RT options work out. I'd want to see Henderson get a shot before we make that switch
