Or tickets in Indy…..maybe @Indy Illini Fan will host us 😉
I have a SWA flight I have been holding on to because traveling alone sucks. But SWA does fly to Orlando (horrible airport) and Tampa so I might use it then. I think we should have a meeting place so we could meet in person before the game? Or we should look for tickets that we could at least sit in the same area. I went to the bowl game when I was in Dallas against Louisiana Tech and got to meet a few people as the Cotton Bowl venue was not very full so fans could move around to a better seat.

The only thing that makes me hesitant about this one is Nebraska's style. They spread you out more, more tempo, more shots downfield, etc. Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin are all very similar stylistically....and very different from Nebraska.

I think we can handle it, but we just haven't seen it that much this year. On paper we should be fine. Pretty good pass rush, our DB's have looked really good. But, that has mostly been against teams that are run heavy and would rather control the clock than play tempo.

My friend who farms in Indinia (near West Lafayette, coincidentally) sent me the photo below a couple weeks ago during the harvest. It's the engine of one of their $700,000 John Deere combines after it threw a bearing cap that punctured the wall of the block. Rendered completely immobile and useless in the middle of a soybean field (IIRC; may have been corn.) $97,000 in parts and labor to replace it.

I'll keep this in mind as the preferred metaphor for what the stress of handling our D and O will do to the Husker machine two weeks hence.

as far as anyone has heard/seen, we avoided any injuries/aggravations of known injuries against minnesota? and its reasonable to expect mccray back against nebraska?

The only injury I’m aware of is Love. Not sure what happened/how serious it is.

I imagine we’ll be very healthy overall against Nebby.

Lol even in their "miracle" prediction, we lose to Michigan.
Regardless of the results prior, the biggest test of the program's rise to competence will come in Ann Arbor. And that is said with no trepidation. The Illini can match up well with Cheatigan in all position groups. Skunks have a small size advantage as well as consistency of execution on offense, but the Illini will have an advantage in motivation. I also expect the Illini to have an opportunity to follow a path to victory....but the probability of a win will belong to the Wolverines if they play well.

7 guarantees a winning season. That would be big. I’m hopeful this season can lead to good things on the 2024 recruiting class. The most important thing to build sustainable success is stacking recruiting classes on top of each other.

Most pundits now have us (on average) at #18 in the nation, and the #4 team in the Big 10, breathing down the neck of Penn State for #3 in the conference --- with a real shot at the Orange, Cotton or Rose Bowl........if not higher.

The Idiots at least hung with Michigan for awhile. I feel like we have better than a puncher's chance to beat them. That said, I don't expect to win at the moment however, if we continue to gel offensively the odds get better.
