I feel like this might be the biggest game of the season, for seeding purposes anyways. We win this and we have a real shot to play into the 6 range that would be very nice.
This is textbook letdown game material—emotional huge comeback against a semi-rival in the game prior followed up by an away game against a mediocre team with nothing to lose. Cannot afford to let it be one, one thing that the later Ayo led teams had (and to some extent last years team as well) was a taking care of business mentality. I have yet to see this team take that on.

Buckeyes have lost 9 in a row. Can that be right?
They lost to Minny at home (on Jan 12.) So what can you say? And it seems they were very determined lost in 3-6 points in lots of games.
I have concluded that buckeyes are not lucky after all. Maybe they’d better try something else. Perhaps they should go with the Ohio State Rabbits’ Feet…or the Purple Horshoes or something.
(Man, if we lost 9 in a row I can only imagine the meltdown around here. Yikes!)

Yeah, they've had a rough winter. I do recall, however, a certain bottom-dwelling BT team in late February 1999. It lost seven straight in January, had many close losses, but made more than a bit of noise in the BTT come March. That set the table for a tasty following season.
My old man used to put angry notes in the collection plate if the sermon ran long on Bears football Sundays. The Lord always offers you a path.

Since the lid is now well off the jar, I'll dive in.
A strong argument exists that we all are drawn to competitive sports because they involve individual and team effort in striking a hard-to-hit goal. The roots of the word "sin" in at least a couple ancient languages, IIRC, mean "missing the mark." Thus, we love sports (perhaps subconsciously) because they exalt the careful focus on hitting the mark, and involve athletes who devote single-minded focus, and deferral of gratification, to doing so individually and in cooperation with their teammates. Those who hit the mark are exalted; we feel exhilaration in, and admiration of, their excellence and they set an example for us to follow. I credit Jordan Peterson for most recently advancing this idea.
Which leads me to the unavoidable conclusion that Ohio State is positively drenched in sin this season, as The Beloved were during the first 28 minutes of last night's game.

Yeah, I’ve been hearing some of that. I just didn’t realize it was up to 9 in a row. That’s a long time to be consistently inconsistent and have things go awry.
My Son, Grandson and I will be there; hoping for the same outcome as the other game we attended (MSU).
As willing as DD is to pass to open shooters, he should thrive against a post double. Especially when he has Epps, Mayer, Shannon, or Hawk waiting there. He has shown some excellent passing skills, as long as he looks first. and does not try to throw a slow cross court pass.
Notice I said should...you never know.
It seems like we have always struggled with early starts in general, as well as being plagued by players having career games. Both came together at tOSU on Sunday March 6, 2005.
