Nothing mind-blowing here, but I feel like offensively this team is trying to reconcile what the offense was versus Mizzou/prior to Shannon suspension with the booty ball we moved to after suspension. They have to figure out how to blend those and be versatile based on the defense being played against you.

The defensive slide is more concerning to me. I get the idea of this what our team does well and that’s what we are going to do most of the time. I feel like we see opponents come in and try different things in their game plans defensively to attack what we do, and I don’t see that happen with us. It could be that I’m not watching other teams as much or I’m completely wrong. Totally open for correction. Any thoughts on this?

This team has lacked the intensity level the last couple of games that they had been playing with consistently. Especially on the defensive side of the ball. If they get back to that they will be ok. If not we may be looking at another underwhelming finish. Hope they get things straightened out tonight.

I don't think OSU's student section should provide too hostile of an environment tonight. Student tickets are still going on sale. Just got mine

Alternative is you go under, but I think our mantra is make the opponent beat you with 2s and not 3s.
The other option is hedging, but nobody seems to do that the way teams used to. I fondly remember James Augustine generally forcing the ballhandler out way past the three point line.

I think ballhandlers over the course of time have been taught how to effectively navigate/get around soft hedges and have made them less effective overall. Hard hedges are a gamble as the screener can roll into open space. I remember when the hand check rules were adopted in NBA around 2005ish (and then in college several years later) it seemed like pick/roll actions became more effective as if you go over the screen you can't make nearly as much contact - especially not with your hands.

So I live in Lexington KY and refuse to participate in the Peacock. That said are there any streaming options for the radio call? I know sometimes a local radio station back home will have the call and make it available online. TIA
WDWS Radio in Champaign. Brian Barnhart does an amazing job.

Peacock allows you to rewind to any spot once you are in the broadcast. Just gotta be careful to not peak and spoil it for yourself. If the game is already over, it's usually available for replay within 15 minutes or so.

Man I would love to see us mix some different coverages on ball screens. Anything to force the ballhandler to pick up his dribble every once in a while. Got back-cut to death last year because it was just too easy to get to a good spot to make the pass. Even when we fought through we had a horrible time keeping the ball out of the paint. Make 'em give it up early on occasion.

Yeah, I do not understand why Peacock is still stuck in streaming like it's 2011.

There is no "start from beginning" option. If I want to watch after a game is started, I keep having to mute my computer, squint my eyes, try not to see the score, and drag the scroll bar back to the beginning.

And then there is the issue of trying to find the replay without ruining the game by seeing a highlight video with a headline... I would advise those folks to add the game to "My Stuff" ahead of time, then just try to rewatch it on delay by navigating straight to: https://www.peacocktv.com/watch/my-stuff

I am sure NBC has received many complaints, so I have to think all of this is by design at this point.

With how cheap peacock is monthly, I doubt they care to make it fancy

Ohio State is a team on life support, getting off to a slow start is what killed us last year at OSU. We were never able to catch back up despite getting within a point or two in the second half.

It's not about keeping the crowd out of it, that's a lifeless arena anyway. But a strong start is needed to keep the Buckeyes from getting confidence especially after they just got run off the floor at Northwestern.
