Lovie went out on top....who would have thunk it???This is the absolute best.

I was thinking the same...so Illinois to fire a coach right after winning a transitive Natty.Lovie went out on top....who would have thunk it???
His wife maybe???Lovie went out on top....who would have thunk it???
I'll be there with my dad (Michigan fan). Prob will be on the IM black lot unless other lots drop on stub hub.Anyone else going Saturday? I will be tailgating with my Illini wife and all of my Purdue relatives on the south intramural field (brother, niece, nephew, son, daughter, daughter in law, future son in law all Boilers). I will be in Illini gear with a Purdue marching bad hat (son, DIL, future SIL all AAMB alums - I do love their band).
Are the Marching Illini travelling?
Go Illini!
I think there were 2 players from last year’s team that started week 1 in the NFL.Here's the thing about our Super-Super-Seniors: they are like math students who have been taught how to do math wrong for 4 years in middle school, and now we're suddenly expecting them to understand geometry. It takes two years to unteach them everything from the previous teacher (or parent...), and another year, hopefully, to cram all the knowledge into their head they need to know so that hopefully before they graduate high school they can have a basic understanding of math.
I watch some of our "most experienced" players make the same mistakes they were coached to do under the previous regime. The fact that BB has not dropped Lovie's name in his post game interviews or mid week interviews is a damn miracle in and of itself. Peters is NOT a better QB than he was when he arrived (I'm in the camp of "I'm not sure he's even the best QB on the team"). Some of our defensive players still don't seem to understand where to be on the field. The offensive line seems like trash. I doubt BB is coaching players to make mistakes. This is still carryover from 5 years of experiences under a coach who was not suited to run a college program.
Having an experienced super-senior class when the only experience they have is trudging through a field of is not beneficial experience...
All parking in the lots around the stadium is now reserved. You can check Stubhub to see if you can get one (that's what I did). Otherwise, parking is free at McCutcheon Street Garage and Wood Street Garage (google Purdue Parking Maps to see where those are). Other garages are pay ($30, I believe). You can tailgate in the garages if you like.Chief you hit the nail on the head. Let's hope by now the new staff has taught them geometry. I wonder what Ryan Johnson looks like under center. What is funny is you see other teams back up qb come in and throw for many yards. I thought on that last series against Md. IW would have been a good choice to try him at qb. All we needed was one first down. What else hurt was having Josh McCray hurt and not playing. On to PU. My son and I will be at the game. Leaving Louisville at 9am to drive through Hoosier land. How is parking at the stadium? Should we get pay for a pass on line or just wait to get to the stadium? I have never been to Ross Ade. What about food establishment around the area?
True but they aren't here anymore.I think there were 2 players from last year’s team that started week 1 in the NFL.
If we win, I think it will be in a shootout. I do not see our pass defense holding up well against the pass happy Boilers. It is not supposed to rain buckets like it did two years ago - which helped our run game vs. their pass game. Jeez, what a miserable day that was (other than the win).Illini 23 Purdue 12. B1G West championship buzz continues to get louder.
We held Maryland to 10 points until late in 4th Quarter. Could do something similar to Purdue. If we win, I think it will be in a shootout. And the Maryland game was without any wind, nearly perfect conditions for passing. We held Maryland to 10 points until late in 4th Quarter. Could do something similar to Purdue.
Yet, they are two players who also were supposedly taught to do math wrong. Love the hypocrisy,True but they aren't here anymore.
I was going to make a prediction, but this one is good.Illini 23 Purdue 12. B1G West championship buzz continues to get louder.
WE COMIN FOR THE 'SHIP!Illini 23 Purdue 12. B1G West championship buzz continues to get louder.
Could you at least be more specific!I was going to make a prediction, but this one is good.
Also, we lead the entire game. Something like this:
7-0
7-3
7-6
10-6
10-9 Halftime
17-9 First drive of 2nd half
17-12
20-12
23-12
That's kind of the point. They are excelling outside of the program, at a higher level.Yet, they are two players who also were supposedly taught to do math wrong. Love the hypocrisy,
