Ivey was really impressive the last game I saw him against Michigan. Seems to be a cross between Ja Morant and Russell Westbrook. We won't be seeing him next year, probably a Rocket or Piston next season

Grand baby #5 was born a few hours ago. (Mom and baby doing great)
It puts this game a bit more into perspective for a proud Grandpa though.
Now more than ever, the beloved need to pull this one out.
I want to be able to tell my grandson that he was born the same day the O&B went to Mackey and beat the Boilers.
The very night that the nation began to realize the power, the skill, and the excellence of the 21/22 Fighting Illini.
And I vow to my faithful Loyalty brethren, and to Illini Nation, that I will proudly do my part to influence and mold him into a fine young man, proudly wearing O&B that will most certainly line his closet, that he shall forever bleed orange and blue, as long as I shall live.

1. I respect Matt Painter and the program he has built. For that reason I have no real animosity towards Purdue.

Why shouldn't we expect or not be surprised with another 20 from him? He's more capable now than his first game back from protocols.
People try to compare Edey and Kofi but I think Kofi does a better job of keeping his elbows within his body when he turns. Sometimes Edey will turn with his elbows first
Sometimes? That's Edey's trademark. And while Kofi keeps his arms low before he turns so his blow is his body to the his defender's torso, Edey deliberately raises his elbows high before he turns, so his blow is an intentional elbow to the defender's head.
Generally good to keep the ball high, but it's supposed to be a foul to deliver an elbow to the face, isn't it?
That's what I'm going to watch for tonight. If the refs continue to let Edey do that, I sadly predict a brawl at some point, and that we lose a close game.

Because of my time zone and my kids' bed time routine, it is actually my favorite tip off time. I get to see everything after roughly the second media time out with not toddlers interrupting me.

Agreed. I get out ofbed at 3:45-4:00 AM depending on the day. Makes for a short night but I will watch every tick every game.

Sounds familar.........I'm usually out of bed 3-5 am every day , but , like you , i will watch every second and I start with the pre game radio show @ 7 pm
if we lose at an 8 pm start , I just go ahead and make coffee after all the post game crap ends as I won't be sleeping after the beloved lose .....
I can't handle losses well at all ..........i really really can't ...........NL # 3 helps , but the sting goes all the way to the bone ......usually takes a lot
of 420 and alcohol to even contemplate life as we know it .........

Nah, I was visiting in Italy when I created my account. Figured the name would be unique, and it is. I do go back frequently tho.My friend are you really in Italy and craving Beef House rolls? If so, I will happily house swap for a week sometime if you need a throwback
And as for the Beef House, it was our go-to place during my time at the U of I (‘82-’85). My wife was an active duty nurse stationed at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, and we’d take friends and visiting family there. When I lived in Indy after I retired from active duty, I would drive customers from all over the world from Indy to the Beef House to experience the place - not so much for the steaks which are great (we had better steaks at Ruth’s Chris, St. Elmo’s, and Shula’s in Indy), but those rolls. Probably why I’m on a Mediterranean diet now
Our defense has been locked in ever since the bad performance against Maryland. Playing on the road, I see us playing slower and more methodical. BU is going to do everything he can to keep the crowd out of the game. Purdue's defense is bad. We will hold the ball and run a lot of actions until they mess up. But the key is to play slow but still be active offensively. They will make mistakes if we run our sets with a purpose.
