I have finally gotten past Pearl and Ellis (Note: I'm old enough to have lived through both). Ellis was a young kid and I'm sure he had a many adults influencing him to lie. Bruce, I just don't even think about any longer even when I see him coaching Auburn. CBS national news has a nice story on him tonight regarding inspiring a young kid to survive all his cancer treatments. Now has the kid as the team manager at Auburn.
Not a chance Illinois holds them under 80.

I guess I’m just stuck in the past because I will never forgive or forget those involved with bringing my University's basketball program, my coaches, and my players so much grief and anguish because they were jealous liars. What wonderful guys Lou and Jimmy and Deon had to endure because of these malicious asshats was unconscionable. It took them (and Illini Nation) years to recover. That hate includes not only Pearl, Ellis, and Digger, but those from Iowa who used their clout in the NCAA to put and keep a winning program in the toilet so their programs could be more successful. If they are trying to now redeem their souls so they can go to Heaven, good for them. They are still dead and unredeemable to me…

I just randomly watched 90% of the tourney game when we beat Chatanooga....wow we struggled offensively but defensively we were on a different level. but one thing teams found out was even against Kofi, they can post up 1 on 1 and score on him. doesn't matter if Kofi is more athletic and taller, they find a way to iso the post and just score. feels like thats whats happening this year to Hawkins, perhaps its Brad's defensive strategy to keep his big men out of foul trouble. when our defense is successful, we get turnovers, not because we play physical 1:1 defense. teams are doing what we do to them now, lots of 1:1 ball (although some infuriating cuts to the basket as well).

The 2001 Illinois vs Arizona game Walton did with his son playing was the closest I’ve ever come to destroying my television. (I think that was the date, had to look it up been so long ago)

redeem their souls ... confessing is a first step. I don't think I've ever heard Pearl admit he harassed (100s of calls), lied, and spliced recordings ... or apologize and ask Deon for forgiveness. Deon on the other hand has unconditionally forgiven what was done to him by others.
