..If Belo can become more consistent in his game and control some of his wilder impulses, this guy can be legendary...
He was legendary when Ayo went down and carried it into the BTT. If he hits the last layup vs IU everybody would have said he is back. I think he is getting close and it is going to make us very dangerous. We were much better transition team last year with Ayo and Andre. Somebody made a good point that Kofi needs to learn to throw an outlet pass to trigger the fast break.

Bit off topic, but is there an idea for the game time if we get by UTC?
If it's like last year time/TV for Sunday games will get released around 12:30am CT Saturday morning. Hopefully they'll speed it up this year,& I thought the First Round time/TV release was fast this time after the Selection Show.

Matt Norlander on twitter is quite fast posting time/TV info right when it's released-

Just curious but who on staff is responsible for scouting our upcoming opponents? Or does the entire staff get involved in that?

You need to watch Latulip's breakdown of UTC. He does a fantastic job and definitely has a future in coaching if that's his desire. He will put your mind at ease about Trent guarding Smith who is not overly athletic. Trent will be up in his face, force him to his right and make life really difficult all night long. My biggest fear is who to put Plummer on because Baptiste can go off on you if you give him space and let him get into a rhythm. This is where you might see more Bello than usual. Mike does a great job assessing Desousa's strengths (putbacks) and weaknesses (no outside shot, slow footed and only plays 20 minutes/game). I think Kofi is going to have a solid game. Mike and Jeremy also mentioned that UTC hasn't seen what we bring on offense and they also haven't faced a defense like ours which is the 2nd best in the BIG. I feel a lot better about our outlook after watching the video. Go Illini!:shield:
If Frazier guards Smith in this game, it might be a big mistake. He is big and likes to shoot 2's way more than threes. It will be like the Penn St. game with their guard except Chattanooga is better. I would rather see Da'monte guard Smith and Frazier guard Jean-Baptiste. That might shut them both down and Illinois can cruise with Kofi dominating the middle and everyone else hitting threes. Kofi is going to have to pass the ball out to the right guy though, as usual.
