Pretty much the same story: Hollenbach, Gow, McCarren, Uremovich, Mike Wells, Tom Hicks, Sorey, Perrin and coach Blackman.
McCarren, Hicks, Sorey, and Perrin all played in the NFL.

Iowa travels well. We are likely after their dollars. They definitely need to lower ticket prices. Stadium is 1/2 full and saw Horseshoe tickets are $75 for the Iowa game!!! For Chatanooga they are $25.
They might redirect it over the cross bar. They don't need to block the field goal . . .
We had a team full of experienced superseniors last year. There are a lot of young players on this team, mistakes are to be expected (and hopefully corrected). But 4-8 or worse is very much possible if we continue to play sloppy football.
I hate to harp on that, but it's been alarming to see those old Illinois losing habits seeping back in when they'd been so refreshingly diminished last year.
It had looked like the Bielema message and focus was taking root. That needs to be the case for us to have success.
Shad probably had one somewhere around there and you can make it the unofficial official Illinois bar.Any Illini bars in Jacksonville, Florida?
This is the perfect time to work on fundamentals and put together a fairly vanilla game plan for the Mocs.BB will have the guys focused. Last weekend is a great motivator as many quality teams lost to lower tiered teams. BB will use that during practices all week. We will not lose this game as we are looking at the prize of a bowl.
Illini fans used to have watch gatherings at Time Out Sports Bar at 13799 Beach Blvd. Suite 5 Jacksonville FL 32223. Not sure if they still do.Any Illini bars in Jacksonville, Florida?
Great, thanks!Illini fans used to have watch gatherings at Time Out Sports Bar at 13799 Beach Blvd. Suite 5 Jacksonville FL 32223. Not sure if they still do.
He is down there, yes good point. Thanks!Shad probably had one somewhere around there and you can make it the unofficial official Illinois bar.
Bielema said that these things would be a focus of attention between now and the Chattanooga game, so I expect to see improvement. But 4-8 or worse is very much possible if we continue to play sloppy football.

Wally, I thought your dad played football for Chattanooga. Hope you’re not conflicted next game.My father and brother were Badgers, so I didn't become an Illini fan until the day I stepped on campus.
The Beaver was a Badger? Figured him more for an Oregon St. Guy.My father and brother were Badgers, so I didn't become an Illini fan until the day I stepped on campus.
Yes, but still stings when it should be 4-03-1 start would be nice.

Not sure they will this year, my Iowa fan friends are about as dejected as ever!Iowa travels well. We are likely after their dollars.
Our student support the last two seasons continues to be outstanding and proportionately WAY better than the rest of our fan base. Major props to the kids!
So are the Badger fans. Crazy year this far. Haven't reached out to my Domer friends yet - giving them some space...Not sure they will this year, my Iowa fan friends are about as dejected as ever!
Sorry to throw this out there Nightman, but I had to chuckle at the hint of Iowa fans being as dejected "as ever." (I realize I shouldn't be so literal.) This shows nearly 20 years of Iowa football before Hayden Fry arrived to turn things around (he actually started in 1979). The Hawkeyes were hapless and their fans were suffering miserably like we have been (for the most part) over the past 20+ years. A 1-1 start to the 2022 season, after 40 years of unprecedented success, is nowhere close to where things were for their fanbase in 1980.Not sure they will this year, my Iowa fan friends are about as dejected as ever (or, at least since 1980)!

Lol, yeah, I just meant in my life since I’ve known these folks. It’s not so much the record as it is the demoralizing offense and the nepotism behind the OC still having a job.Sorry to throw this out there Nightman, but I had to chuckle at the hint of Iowa fans being as dejected "as ever." You gotta start younger than that. I was born up in the Horseshoe, and emerged from the womb just in time to check if the field goal the Illini were kicking was good. Too poor to buy a pacifier, I teethed on an orange mouthpiece. In honor of Grange and Butkus, my folks gave me the first and middle names of Red and Dick. Try fighting your way through school with those names. After I learned to walk, my dad gave me an orange and blue football and told me to hang on to it. If I dropped it, I had to do 10 laps around the house while singing the 3 in 1. Every Halloween, I trick or treated dressed as the Chief. My dogs are named Oskee and Wow wow. Yeah, I guess you could call me a fan.I became an Illini fan at age 8, which was 1958.
IIRC there was an announcement in MS at the end of the VA game that students got free tix for that Chattanooga game.Sports Information Director must be one of our Illinois Loyalty members? He or Whitman seems to be reading our posts........
