So the way they've done this is that you log in and sign up and they send you a ticket with a specific seat associated.

Which means they only gave out the ~5000 free tickets that would correspond with the NEZ section's seating capacity, and gave those out first.

That will be a very easy eye test to see what percentage of those seats given out actually got used.

I saw an email or FB post last week that said the NEZ was sold out and they were offering student tickets in 101.

Some people see an effort to get students to the game. Some see gloom and doom. Go figure.
Meanwhile, I plan on having a fine evening in great September weather at MS.

edit--last week, not earlier in this week.

I saw 8,000 student tickets given out. I don’t know whether including the NEZ’s seating or total. Still pretty good. Put ‘em the East Balcony. Rock the house. Literally.

Just once I would love to see some type of gadget play in this game.

NEZ holds 5000, so there are definitely 3,000 student tickets issued for the East side. Personally I hope my memory is correct and they're in the Main, not balcony.

If my memory is correct it's both. The student overflow starts with the first section of the Main, then the first section of the balcony. I had student seats in the balcony during the Zook years.

Kinda late to the party but I love the way Barry Lunney carries himself. Can't wait to see what the growth of his offense looks like.

I do not understand the suggestions for the students in the east BALCONY, personally … seems like a different version of the same issue. Why not put them in the east main stands corner where the overflow is/used to be?

NEZ is practically begging to be a family-friendly getaway zone where groups can spread out and still have it look full.

I really want Josh back. Call me old school (cuz I am) but I'd love to see some 2 back sets with Brown and McCray. I don't know if that's in Lunney's bag of tricks, but it can create some really interesting wrinkles.
I called for this before the season started. Totally agree with this! They could both be in backfield at times. Other times line up McCray in backfield by himself, have IW out wide and line Brown up on same side or alone on other side. Have options for quick screens or McCray ramming it down the middle. The D would have a tough time and couldn't cheat up the middle or on one side. I initially said this with IW, Brown and Laughery out wide with McCray down the middle. Get guys that are explosive in the open the ball. This would also work perfectly with Brown, McCray, IW and Bryant. Offense would be spread open and have options to run down the middle, screen or go deep.
