Let's be honest, who's more entertaining these days: the Bears or the Illini?

I love them both but I'm more likely to tune into basketball with the way the a Bears have played this season (even though the defense really has improved)
Not even close! Illini all day. :) Bears have a lot of things that are actually “unsolvable” as long as the front office and coaches remain the same. For those that might have a hard time understanding my sarcasm today, that statement is not sarcastic. 😂

Now if we are saying Bears or Chicago Fire then I’ll go with the Bears. ;)

I know the women's team plays Mizzou right after.

And I get that it was rescheduled. The start time seems a bit odd though. I wonder why they put it at that time. I know the Bears game start time wasn't official until here in the last couple weeks but you'd think they'd have a backup plan in case the game started at the same time. I'm actually surprised they didn't flip the game times of the men's and women's games, especially since there's no other conflict on BTN that day from what I can see.
One probable reason is the logistics of having the men’s game first makes things easier. Now they can have some extra attendees from the men’s game stay and experience the women’s game in GA sections; if the men’s game was afterwards they’d have to clear the stadium to ensure only ticketed people stick around to watch the men’s game.

I get the argument about whose more entertaining but good or bad the university usually schedules the games to not have a conflict between the two.

When they've done these doubleheaders in the past, have they normally had the men's games first or the women's game first?

Ah, the return of Kyle Carlesimo, son of P.J. I wondered what happened to him when I didn't see him suit up for the Eastern Illinois game. Unfortunately, it looks as if he played more at Eastern Illinois than he has at Colgate so far.

so do I get to stay for free for the womens game or do I need to hide out in a restroom stall with my feet up off the floor for an hour?
"Fans with a ticket to the men's game will automatically have entry to the women's Braggin' Rights game, as the arena will not be cleared between contests."

Two comments about last game1) officials have to really up their game when Shannon drives to the basket he is grabbed every time just about and I think he’s so fast they don’t see it or get tired of calling it. 2) Illinois hung with a top 20 team when their top three scorers all had off shooting performances.

One comment about next: Illinois by 20 in a “get right” game as we had our worst shooting and worst officiated game and still hung tight so look out Colgate and I never make those kinds of predictions.

I'll take our wins against FAU in the Garden and the beatdown of Rutgers in Piscataway against Colgate's victory over the Fighting Syrup Gatherers of mighty Vermont.

Good thing the Catamounts of Vermont haven't been an NCAA tournament team over the years.

And both Colgate and Vermont were predicted to be the top teams in their conference in their respective preseason polls.

step one: Coleman doesn’t take 10 threes. That’s a ridiculously high number for someone who is, what, a career 30% 3 pt guy?

I don’t mind him taking a few each game especially wide open ones but he just takes too many unnecessary ones.
He shot 28% through his first three years on 210 attempts and is at 21% this year on 24 attempts.

Coleman's ability to hit from 3 is essential for this offense to thrive.Otherwise opposing center is able to play off clogging driving lanes resulting in surplus 3 attempts. His inability to finish at rim also limits kickout chances.Need CH to command respect from distance.

He doesn’t need to be taking 10 a game to “command respect”. Like I said 3 or 4 is plenty.

If he’s open, stroke it. But taking step back or off the dribble threes are so infuriating for a guy of his shooting caliber.

Thus far, he’s averaging right at four per game…
That means you’re happy, right? 🤷🏻‍♂️
