Here is the first Memorial Stadium Sellout Watch ticket tracker for Indiana. Ticket website is currently showing 48,469 tickets sold. There are several sections showing no tickets available for sale, and while I doubt they are truly 100% sold out, I'm dialing back some of the conservatism in the tracker's assumptions. 50,000+ is well within reach this week. Updated editions of the tracker and my official attendance predict will come later in the week.

I was watching 4 Illini from last years team on Sunday TV
Devin Weatherspoon, Jartavius Martin, Sidney Brown and Tommy Devito. Unfortunately Chase Brown is not getting much playing time.
I think we underestimated how much we were losing. Our defense is no longer dominant without lockdown cornerbacks.

Altmyer has had his moments but has too many turnovers. DeVito came to us as 5th yr senior (1 year as starter). Altmyer came as 3rd year jr but really only played significantly in 1 game for Ole Miss. If Altmyer can reduce his interceptions I am very excited about next year.

Devito 70% completion rate 15 TDs 4 interceptions
Altmyer 65% completion rate 13 TD 10 interceptions

Altmyer is a 3rd year sophomore and has 2 more years(probably tests the draft waters after 2024 if he plays well).

we should be so lucky that his year next year is so good that him possibly getting drafted in rounds 1-2 in April 2025 is even possible .

I like Luke , but he’s got a LONG WAY to go for that .

leaving college early to be a late round draft pick at QB, or an UFA is crazy

Teams have already shown to take a chance on athletic QB's on raw potential and I think the trend continues because most coaches have inflated egos and explicitly believe in their ability to turn coals into diamonds.

That being said, the end of 2024 season is a long way away. A lot can obviously change by then.

I'm not saying he'll be a high draft pick, but a senior year doesn't necessarily guarantee you higher draft status.

Now we are looking at our next game against coach punchface and the unlovable loosiers........We should have big time revenge on our minds and let's b*tchslap that punchface coach and his chipmunk bicuspids.........maybe a sideline sweep with all our OLine just piling on his obnoxious arse...............

Remember , I'm not a bitter soul anymore MOST of the time , but when a loosier or herd of loosiers is involved , I get a little flaky with my emotions........OK OK . I get a LOT of flakiness in my O & B heart......................I really really do.........A LOT ..........

again, I like Luke, but
I just dont see him as the tall , strong arm Tom Brady/Peyton Manning type.

spring 2025 is a long way away, and I so hope his year next year is so good that we are truly concerned about him leaving with a year of eligibility left.

I mean, Im not sure why exactly , but Lunney rarely has him throw more than 25 yards down field , even on 3rd and long.
His ball right now looks "soft" and is not that frozen rope some guys can throw. There is both good and bad in that.

Nearly half of those interceptions by Luke were in one game too. I think people need to take a step back and realize two things:
1) Luke is not a future NFL QB right now.
2) Luke is the best QB, outside of Tommy, that we have had since Wes Lunt.

I would say he’s way better than Lunt. He has the potential to be our best QB in a long while. I have faith that with experience he’ll lead us to a lot of wins.

As an example, and a totally different type of QB, Juice Williams was borderline awful as a sophomore. He perfected his game with experience and led us to a lot of wins.

I had last year's result wrong, should be 8-5. But otherwise yes this is how I felt pre-season in the predictions thread.

Only if we develop an offensive line to protect him.

Considering it is his first year as a starter I think Luke has done well. The last couple games the pocket has completely collapsed so he is always running for his life. DeVito was superb in avoiding interceptions. Not sure why Luke missed open receivers deep last couple games other than possibly he was running for his life :).

I am optimistic the resurgence of our running game with Kaden Feagin should open up the play action pass and take some of the pressure off Luke.

4.7 yards per carry is not shabby.

Season trends for the Illini and Indiana show that both are improving over recent games, especially the Hoosiers. Illinois' last three efforts have been among the four best all year, and Indiana's last two games are the highest rated of their season and better than any Illini performance. So momentum may favor the visitors. (An average rating is 0 on the vertical axis. The game ratings, from BCf Toys, are "are opponent-adjusted data representing the value generated per possession in each game relative to an average team performance on a neutral field against an average opponent."}

The loosiers have competed all year, especially on defense. This will come down to Turnovers and 3rd down efficiency.

I thinking Hoosiers score more than 10 this game, they have a couple good wideouts and the QB can get it to them. If Illini D line can put some pressure on Qb, it can take this away and force em into our run stop.
