Didn’t they change the rule to be more lenient about the rim hanging that cost RJ a technical last year, or did I just imagine it in my weird, vodka induced dreams

The taunting thing is soooooo subjective, can‘t they make it a common foul? Or is It already a common foul? Again, vodka influenced comments 😊
I hadn't heard that they changed the rule, but it's definitely a possibility. I think taunting is a technical, which also counts against you as a personal. Sound correct?

Vegas post-UCLA. Maybe not total decibels, but length of cheering time. Went on forever, in the best way possible.
The come back in the second half of the tripple OT loss to Purdue last year was awesome. That we had to ride the refs so hard in that game was not. Was both one of the loudest and one of the worst called games that I've attended.

Arizona game last year was loudest I've ever heard an arena in person.
you must not have been there when Brad got ejected in the Ohio State game last year. Loudest I have heard in 20 years.. 2nd might have been the Purdue game last year in the overtimes. That game was the first one i remember not sitting down except during time outs

1998 home game Michigan State--won to share Big 10 title. Loudest I've been too (many many games)

State Farm Center should have been installed with retractable seats that fold in during the game and only come out before and after the game and timeouts. That way fans would get up and cheer like they're supposed to. Somewhat joking there. lol

there are quite a few people down by the court that could get more involved.

re: loudest at AH? for me, maybe Jan 1989 vs G Tech. All we had to do was win and be #1, went down 16-18 points, came storming back to force OT, won in 2OT. It was pretty loud last year when MSU was shooting the FTs with a second to go - the noise was definitely a factor in missing

Lol I got told to sit down at the start of the Bethune game by some one behind me a few rows.. Had to inform him that you don't sit after tip off until the opponents score... He should learn the rules

I like a little passion on display.

But agree that Hawkins over does it at times. What kind of bugged me as much as the flexing and yelling after the dunk was posing after hitting his corner three while everyone else was turning and getting back down the court. He played well though and if he plays like that every game, I'll grab some popcorn and enjoy the theatrics.
Considering the over the top celebration we got from Bandoumel on his dunk, I'm totally fine with CoHawk showing some emotion out there.

Yeah, the fans were dialed up to 11 that afternoon. We could use a lot more of that attitude and passion at SFC. My 72 year old mother gets pissed at how quiet the people around her are.
Definitely helps having people drinking all day in Vegas and being the later of the 2 games. I like having a late Friday night game at home. Should be a great atmosphere.
