I wonder if Barker knew they’d be using these shots for their pre-Illini game hype video.

Knowing the transfer background (and I’m sure casual fans probably don’t) it gives off a sort of “payback time” vibe. As far as I know, the transfer was a mutual parting and/or we didn’t want him to go. Maybe @illini0440 knows more?

Either way, shut him down. No reason for him to have an incredible game just because he played here before (and was well liked by fans, btw).
Mutual.

I believe it's the right time for you to return to campus, sir.

And as the PT's say, "movement is medicine." Moving about the campus will be good for your soul.
Spirit is more than willing , but the flesh and an overactive psoriatic arthritis affliction needs my Tramadol and 420 in almost a continuous flow to enjoy my days...........We started walking again on Nov. 1st and are up to a mile a day , but that big of a road trip might be the end of all movements for me .......
Baby steps...........BB is inside viewing pleasure .....FB , not so much.............We'll see.....Maybe ........Possibly....................Hopefully..........

I feel like this is the trap game. MSU in turmoil, weather might be crazy, potential for reading headlines/hearing we're favorites to win the West.

Good teams win trap games though. I'm concerned that passing game will be nullified because of weather, but still think Illinois rushing attack can offset.

Illinois wins 23-7 but might feel closer than score indicates.

Would love to see a sell out for MSU, but I do not understand the ticket sales. Yesterday it looked like there were less than 50 seats left on FI.com, but today there are lots more seats available. Is the athletic department releasing tickets in stages? Are some of these being resold?

I think we win big. Look for Chase and Williams to break some long runs. Their defense, not great to begin with and now weakened by suspensions won’t be able to contain things.

We break it open in the second quarter

Can we make the earth move for Illini? They did at Penn State, and Beaver Stadium is set, basically, on rock. (We don’t dig holes in Pennsylvania. We move rocks out of the way).

Memorial Stadium is set in softer stuff, not down to bedrock, so we should be able to shake the soil.

Does anyone have contacts in the geology department?

If Illinois does what it does best, I don't see how this game is even close unless the weather has a big effect. On paper, this game has the makings of a 40+ game for Illinois and MSU getting shutout. So you know what, that's going to be my prediction.

Illinois: 40
MSU: 0

Yes, they are. They largest chucks of sections have been made available but the top 15ish rows of the East Main stands have not been released. Now we're seeing small blocks of tickets in the lower East Main coming available. I wonder if these are tickets allotted to players for friends and family that were otherwise going to go unused.

The only B1G shutout this year is Minnesota Rutgers. Seems like our defense needs to pitch one at least. Preferably this weekend and then NW.

They better leave the bulldozer though.

Pru would have a longer line to get a picture with than Coach B!!
Lol, this is the truth - at least among Loyalty posters who were at the game! Speaking of all of this going to Memorial Stadium, I had a horrific realization ... hope you guys don't think I'll jinx things, but I soberly took stock of the games I have actually gone into at MS over the years:

2005: #15 Wisconsin 41, Illinois 24 ... 52k+ in attendance on a gorgeous fall day, first time in Champaign, sat in the East Balcony with my family as a seventh grader. Fell in love with the place, win or lose!

2006: #1 Ohio State 17, Illinois 10 ... 53k in attendance, sat in East Main and started to believe in the Zook Experiment! Still remember being enamored with Juice Williams.

2008: #10 Ohio State 30, Illinois 20 ... brought two friends from Iowa City to this one to watch a deflating game on a cold, crappy day ... to our credit, the crowd was a sellout and absolutely packed.

2012: Louisiana Tech 52, Illinois 24 ... sat underneath the East Balcony overhang, so the place looked packed and it was fun that it was a night game. WOW, what a disappointment this one turned into.

2011: #15 Wisconsin 28, Illinois 17 ... big road trip with my college friends (one of whom was a Badgers fan) and yeah, I bout the tickets back when we were 6-0. :ROFLMAO:

2016: Iowa 28, Illinois 0 ... absolutely miserable day, sitting with my Iowa friends in the freezing cold Horseshoe watching us get demolished in front of what could not have been more than 15k or 20k fans (paid attendance was 39k).

So um, yeah ... I have literally never seen us win a home game. I had the pleasure of seeing us demolish #25 Northwestern at Wrigley (SUCH a cool experience), and I have seen the Illini play in Iowa City three times (a convincing win in 1999 when we moved there!, a typical deflating loss in 2005 and the utter shltshow that was the loss there in 2007...), but I have never seen us win in Champaign. Let's PLEASE change that on November 12th!

(I will sell my tickets to someone else if we determine that this is quite simply too bad of luck for me to attend! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:)

I believe that is accurate, though the largest section of tickets is located in the MSU section. Not surprising that they did not sell out their allotment of seats for friends and family of their players, given how much they are struggling. I think the DIA is having a tougher time with our opponents being: 1) Smaller travelling fan bases compared to OSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc., and 2) The teams we are hosting struggling more than expected. We still want our fans there of course, but I think it was expected that more opposing fans would fill their designated sections than what we have seen. Should still be a really solid crowd!
