I did concrete work for FIVE summers while attending the U of Ill, and took a pay cut when I got my first accounting job post college.I did concrete work one Summer during college. It was the hardest work I've ever done ... you deserve the rest.
Alright I am officially pissed. I bought that shirt for my wife and it looks nothing like the picture!
That’s the biggest load of false advertising I have ever witnessed
Don’t waste your money on this you will be disappointed
Allow me to set your mind at ease FotN. I had a weird streak going of taking a day off to watch certain games (MBB, Stars,...) that resulted in a L and me ticked that I took a "vacation" day to watch my team lose.
Well, fast forward to this football year and I wasn't taking any chances. I just went to work each Sat. and lived with it.....until last week.
I didn't mention it in here for fear of the same bad juju....but alas....the boys went to work even when I didn't!!
Edit: I'm not going to work tomorrow
I agree, I was there with my 8 year old sons and OSU grad wife. I still have flashbacks to the OSU fans in our section, it was worse than Columbus. If I ever hear, “Seven, eleven, up all night ever again it will be too soon. “In fairness that's probably our best loss of modern times. I was also there and the swell of optimism in the fans leaving the stadium was palpable.
Pru would have a longer line to get a picture with than Coach B!!
Just close your eyes and use your imagination......works every time for me ..................Alright I am officially pissed. I bought that shirt for my wife and it looks nothing like the picture!

Let me get this straight...........You used to miss work to watch the Illini and we always lost , so you started working and missed the game and we won ??
And you missed work last Saturday to watch the Illini and TOLD NOBODY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....and you're missing work tomorrow ....NNNNOOOOO !!
Dear Aviation company........Please make skyIdub work on 11/05/22.......he really needs to work .......he really really does.......
Signed ,
Illini Nation............
C'mon, people. It's bad luck to be superstitious!But...I don't want to go to work. And we won last week!!
96 green dots on the map, but who knows if that’s all “released” or availableWhat’s the ticket situation? I haven’t seen @sitka pumping sales today. Is that a good sign of a sellout pending, or bad sign?
I say no. I like the wind at our back in both the second and fourth quarters. If we do, in fact, have winds gusting to 50mph out of the south do we take the wind if we win the toss?

It's the eyes..........It really really is ...................I would bring NL # 1 and # 3 for all you Illini perv's..........I really really would .........
I think you're confusing trap game with good, old-fashioned beat down. It will feel close until the second half. I think we grind them down.I feel like this is the trap game. MSU in turmoil, weather might be crazy, potential for reading headlines/hearing we're favorites to win the West.
Good teams win trap games though. I'm concerned that passing game will be nullified because of weather, but still think Illinois rushing attack can offset.
Illinois wins 23-7 but might feel closer than score indicates.
Yes! I do work in our GEOL dept on occassion. There's a seismometer in Natural History. It will register. Can we make the earth move for Illini? They did at Penn State, and Beaver Stadium is set, basically, on rock. (We don’t dig holes in Pennsylvania. We move rocks out of the way).
Memorial Stadium is set in softer stuff, not down to bedrock, so we should be able to shake the soil.
Does anyone have contacts in the geology department?
One Penn State student measured the White Out crowd's seismic activity | Here's what she found
While other students might have attended last month’s iconic White Out game decked out in white and excited at the prospect of being able to put aside their academic worries,www.collegian.psu.edu

I believe you can park by the Alice Campbell Alumni Center (did I spell that correctly?) and hop a bus to the stadium. Let's see if I can link it... https://mtd.org/maps-and-schedules/routes/280-transport-urbana/Driving in from Chicago tomorrow and will arrive around noon. It’s been years since I’ve been to a game. Any suggestions on where to park? Where can food be purchased outside the stadium? Where and when can you see the team walking into the stadium? Go Illini!!!’ Thanks!!!!
12:20 for the Illini Walk through Grange Grove. There are a few food trucks inside Grange Grove too. There will be a huge crowd there, though, so expect lines. There are a couple pay lots both east and west of the stadium. If you want free parking I suggest Hessel which is 6 or 8 blocks west of the stadium.Driving in from Chicago tomorrow and will arrive around noon. It’s been years since I’ve been to a game. I did steel construction in the summers. You spend all summer sitting on hot steel with a welder or a torch wearing leathers and then go back to school to sit in an air conditioned classroom and you feel so spoiled. And you get to spend all semester reading books? Yeah, that made for a nice change of pace, and I don't take my office work for granted now either. My dad told me all about his tour in Viet Nam, and I thank you for your service. He still has stories but he hated two things the worst... the oppressive heat/humidity and the dust. He just hated the dust getting into everything. My daughter's tuition this year is slightly higher than what you paid.I did concrete work for FIVE summers while attending the U of Ill, and took a pay cut when I got my first accounting job post college.
The summer work was great for making me appreciate staying in school (and Viet Nam didn't hurt either!) I actually looked forward to the physical work at the beginning of summer and hitting the books in the fall.
And it paid for all of my 4 1/2 years of school back in the late '60's when tuition was $120 a semester! I owed my dad a thousand bucks when I finished.

I haven't done that in a couple years because we tailgate west of stadium now, but it was super convenient back then.
