What worries me about this game is Missouri will press and we have 120 assists and 128 turnovers as a team this year.

They've played multiple different pressing teams and seemed to handle it just fine. In fact they made Rutgers give up the press in the second half because they were just wearing themselves out trying to run it without much payoff.

There's so much ISO stuff with Domask and TSJ that the low assist totals aren't super surprising, or even worrisome, to me. Against FAU, we scored 98 points, but only 10 assists. Our problem is we play so big and have a few guys that aren't great from the 3-point line, we're susceptible to teams packing in the defense and taking away the thing we're good at (2s) while letting us have the thing we're far less good at (3s). Certain guys can be left alone to help/double when TSJ or Domask wants to drive the ball or post up. We're going to have to find a way to defeat that approach by our opponents, because Tennessee employed it very effectively, as did Colgate in the 2nd half of that game.

I sprung for some nosebleeds! Very excited for my first BR. I've been to Enterprise for a couple Blues games but always have Ubered back and forth. Anyone have parking recommendations?
We always park in the "Justice Center " garage.. its a block away and typically $20. There is an open air parking lot and a garage attached to the Enterprise center that are both closer but I don't have any experience with them

I haven't watched any Purdue games this year but I'm not surprised at all that Lance Jones is in their best five. He got royally screwed out of MVC DPOY last year.

The Galloping Ghost

Washington, DC
This is probably the most nervous I've been about a game all season. We are on the precipitous of being ranked in the top 10. In our way is our rival and bugaboo, Miznoz. No matter how good we look coming into this one, there's always a chance we can get our doors blown off like last year. And what I've realized is last year's team scarred me.

The ecstasy of those two huge early wins and the agony of the losses to the Lions and Tigers was such a massive whiplash. I don't want to go through that again. So while I'm riding high on the belief that a veteran team led by a first-team All-American can finally get us to places we've long hoped to go again, I clench my jaw heading into this one.

Please don't stumble on this game. This is an extremely mediocre team we are going up against. One in any other context we should put to bed early. Do the thing a veteran team is supposed to do and take this seriously. Give them 40 minutes of hell. And TSJ, Hawk, Goode, and the rest enact your revenge and show them how much we care about this rivalry.

Park in the Bricklayers lot @ Maggie O'Briens. Shuttle. Safe. Easy. It's just west of Ecenter and Union Station on Market. Across from MLS stadium.
The shamrock sandwich on garlic cheese bread is phenomenal.

We better win this game considering the relatively weak SOS from the conference this year.

I went in 1988-9. Old checkerdome, sold out, both bands there, students from both schools there.

The Flying Illini pressed full court and came back from 16 point deficit to win. That was first time we know that team would be special.

That was interesting to re-watch! I had forgotten how athletic those guys were. I mean I remember that they were called the Flying Illini for a reason, but still, they were long, quick and bouncy. Also, it was good to remember how bad officiating could be! Those refs were AWFUL and very inconsistent! Also didn't remember how sloppy those guys could be. They had like 26 or 27 turnovers in that game and still won.

No worries here, turnovers less frequent recently, post ups = no assist,we have TS jr. give him the ball, one man wrecking crew.

Yep. I worry about the packing defense and zone defense to a degree. We need to be able to utilize CH to take their big a little bit away from the basket. Ty definitely does not help the packing. I hope with Coleman we learn to bust the zone like we did last season though.
