I signed up for the one week trial with FUBO and than canceled.
There was some kind of error processing
Than they said I did not cancel within 7 days

This game must be going up against meaningless bowl games on the ESPN family of networks.

ESPN will be showing the Armed Forces Bowl between Baylor and Air Force. ESPN2 has first round action in the Diamond Head Classic. There's not really any new sports stuff on ESPNU from what I can find. There's a Chicago State/Minnesota game that would be right before that on ESPNU but it looks like they're showing the Christian Laettner 30 for 30 during the same time as the Illini game.

With the weather forecast they're predicting in this part of the country for Thursday, this may all be a moot point for me anyway. May have to watch it through Watch ESPN.

I have remind myself every year...do not take anything out of this game, good or bad. I'm a firm believer in "throw the stats out the window for rivalry games". Which is tough, because this should be a statement game after the last 2 games. But in rivalry games, you just never know.

If we get off to a sluggish start, something ugly like 15-4, I would not be surprised to hear the boo birds. Hopefully we are ready to go, and run them off the court from start to finish.

Yep. Last year's beatdown, while possibly inspired by our close/recent/frustrating loss to #11 Arizona, REALLY speaks to just how bad Mizzou was last year. This will likely be an intense game, as it usually is.

The ESPN app has worked for me in the past. Fingers crossed it works here.
To be clear, the game will be available within the ESPN app IF AND ONLY IF you are logged in with a TV provider (either wired cable or streaming-based) for which you get SEC Network as part of your subscription. It's just a different option for viewing stuff you already get.

I would advise folks to go see if they can get SEC Network content, if you scroll down in the main screen of the app you will get to a section that says "Channels" and SEC Network will be there, click and try to watch live whatever is in that menu, if you can you're good, if not you don't have the necessary subscription.

Whatever TV service you have, there is likely an add-on package that will get you SEC Network for an additional fee if you don't get it already. Streaming-based services like YoutubeTV and Fubo make it very easy to flip that stuff on and off, not sure about wired cable.

We are a jeckyl and hyde team. Great wins over UCLA, Texas and Syracuse. Tough battle vs. MD in College Park. Terrible loss to Penn State at home.

When you turn over +80% of your scoring and mpg its going to take a while to figure out new roles.

TSJ and MM both want to go from being role players to 20 ppg NBA prospects. You can see the talent but there is a reason why both transferred from Top 20 programs.

IMO Doing well no issue with role/minutes
- Coleman
- Dain
- Jayden
- Sencire
- Skyy
-- Ty

Still learning bigger role
- RJM

I think we will win some games we should lose. We will lose some games we should win. But overall we should be very dangerous 4 or 5 seed come tournament time!

Anyone get their actual tickets yet? I ordered. Was charged. Do not have anything. Not in the app. Not physical. Nothing.

Anyone worried about the weather?

Predicted weather for St. Louis... High 37. Low 6 Below Zero. Rain, then snow.

In other words, just like a typical Spring Day in Chicago.

Once inside the building, the great ball will be so hot that no one will notice what's going on outside.

But after the game, some of our young stars from warmer climes might wonder what they are doing there.

Braggin' Rights history time! Other than the very first statistic, I am only going to count the matchups in St. Louis for these stats.

Overall Series: ILL 33-19
St. Louis Series: ILL 26-14
Series When Both Ranked: ILL 6-3
Series When Illinois is Ranked: ILL 13-7
Series When Missouri is Ranked: ILL 10-6
Series When Neither Ranked: ILL 9-4

- This will be the 41st Braggin' Rights game, but it will actually be the 40th game in St. Louis, thanks to the COVID interruption. So, a special get together!
- Even after a big dip in recent years, the all-time average attendance for games in St. Louis is 19,254. That is ridiculously impressive since the first half of the series took place in an arena that held 18,000!
- In the first 32 matchups (through 2013-14), at least one team was ranked in 79% of those games! Wow, lol. Both teams were ranked in 9 of those games, including two 3-year streaks from 2001-02 to 2003-04 and then again from 2010-11 to 2012-13.
- It's really amazing just how good Mizzou has actually been over the years with VERY little to show for it. While they have literally never been to a Final Four and have not won a regular season conference title since 1994 (Illinois has won 6.5 in that timeframe :sneaky: ), they have come into this game ranked higher than Illinois 12 times over the years and a couple more times only one or two spots behind us. Even during our "glory years" of the early 2000s, we would often come in at #9 or #11 or something only for Mizzou to be at #8 or #10, respectively.
- One more random thought about TV ... I am starting to think that the expanded number of bowls and/or ESPN's obsession with showing them all has impacted the TV assignment for this game WAY more than any lowering of its status. JMO...

Anyway, I am hoping there are enough local fans planning to go and/or fans heading down early that weather does not affect attendance too much! This is my second year, and I would love to see a full arena! (I know it's sold out, but who knows how many fans can't get into town with the weather?)

I-L-L!

I have been to more than 25 of these games, and I can predict that there will be very good seats available from scalpers outside the venue. My son and I went this route for some years, and got some amazing seats, including a year that I sat with the Mizzou football team and coach around us (Coach Pinkel right behind us, and a starting WR next to me, the governor one row ahead of us.) The best seats going cheap are available when there is bad weather, so there could be some good deals this year. Of course, you will have to brave the cold and snow to buy them, but it is a much cheaper opportunity to get discounted good seats. As game time nears, scalpers unload what they have left. For the game itself, all bets are off on this game. I've seen both sides win with inferior teams. The best game I've seen, albeit with a disappointing result, was the triple OT game in 1993 - 108-107 MIZZOU.

I got my tickets about 10 days ago. They were electronic tickets in my Ticketmaster account under St Louis Blues hockey.

Thanks for the advice. I have Comcast and I know I have watched (and hated) the SEC Network at least once before. I will try to check it before the game rather than count on the past guaranteeing future results.

I was a hair's breath away from buying plane tickets and game tickets for this game, for my wife and I. She went to Miznoz, I went to Illinois (I only occasionally hear her sounding out single syllable words, these days - she transferred and grad'd from UNC ). This is a big game in our house, but we have terrible luck traveling and this weather forecast makes me glad we decided to stay home.

Racinghoss....I have same family dynamic (wife a Mizzou grad).

Great live experience, but prefer "saturday before" . I would have gone if it was on the 17th.

My favorite border war game of recent memory would probably be the Rayvonte Rice buzzer beater. Dang, that's probably been 10 years ago now...
I live in close to St. Louis and have been to several Braggin Rights games. This was on of my favorites i've been to.

I remember them bringing the ball down and letting the clock run down a bit. The crowd got REALLY restless in those few seconds then exploded when he hit it. Awesome memory
